I think shooting roles need a nerf. So if doomsayer is there, all others roles can't shoot. This tells evils hey there is a doomsayer, you need to take out people who are trying to figure out roles.

Red light means he has a modifier called “Double Shot”, which lets him make a mistake in guessing once per game. Blue light is the Doomsayer messing up a shot, i think.

I think doomsayer is just a tad too much. Either it needs to be the only guesser or not there. Crew needs to have a win condition and the main way to do that is figure out by showing who is what role. Just another shooter is way to much, I mean vig, most neutrals, and one killer have shots, but doomsayer doesnt die for being wrong. Maybe three wrong guesses and death.

Take out the "Observe" that gives them more information and I think it makes it more balanced. But knowing they're one of 6 roles, and like Speedy said, they don't even play with all those roles active, makes them too powerful if they've been also trying to sus out the roles via conversation.

Wouldn’t doomsayer being the only guesser make it stronger? Like in the game with Speedy as Doomsayer is pretty obvious when a player buttons with nothing happening in order to collect more info, making them easy assassination targets. The main issue with taking out the Observation skill is that is makes non-proxy chat games way too difficult to find roles, not to mention it removes one of the main things that makes it easy to spot a Doomsayer (being very meeting happy). I think a fun solution would be too many failed shots results in a public role-outing (2-3 failures). It maintains the unique aspect of Doomsayer in that it doesn’t die to shots, but provides more risk towards shooting willy-nilly every meeting. Also it’d create a fun situation of the Doomsayer having to scramble/barter with crew or imposters in order to not be voted out. The other, more boring option is to only give Doomsayer 1 shot per round, even if they are right. You lose the exciting combo-off game ender situations, but you also guarantee it will take at least 3 rounds for the Doomsayer to win, which to me puts it in line with most other killing roles.

I actually really like Doomsayer for one reason: there used to be a meta thing where if too many people get shot in a meeting, and Ozza and/or Tay is in the lobby, you vote between those two. That's not a thing anymore. Now, the default assumption is "Doomsayer" not "it's one of the cracked guessers". And I think that's a good thing.

@@WaterAndEarthGirl I'm just saying it's getting kinda ridiculous. Before this crew could win, now you might as well not try if crew. Doomsayer makes since in TOS2, only one other real shooter. But here you have a shooter in most non crew roles. A good fix would be make it so it can't shoot crew roles and nix it down to 2 for win(or 3 for Himi lobby).

There's already an issue with Arsonist skipping on 6 when there's two imps left (and then the game ends because the imps just double kill), this would just make it worse. Besides, I've seen quite a few crew wins with a Doomsayer in the game, including multiple occasions of the Doomsayer getting shot. It's really not that bad.

It is just Jackal but with a different name.

Jackal has a Sidekick button that's distinct from their kill button. Vampire just has a Bite button that converts the first person they use it on (unless that person is bad) and otherwise functions as a kill button.

I mean, Jackle was absolutely miserable for whoever got sidekicked when it first came out, you’d just suddenly lose your cool role and be delegated to having your thumb stuck up your ass as you pray for the Jackle to die so you can get a knife and actually do things again. I’d say vampire is quite the improvement, especially since (if I remember correctly) first gen vampire doesn’t get a gun, only the second and third gen vamps can shoot in the meeting, thus nerfing the first vamp and providing further compensation to the second vamp who’s role got changed It’s also nice that a wrong bite just straight up kills the other baddie because that creates a risk factor when it comes to converting within a group setting (as demonstrated during Tom’s HIYAH 13:50-14:01) unlike Jackle where you just got false hope as the baddie gets mislabeled as an ally from your perspective
