For me, there are increasing incidents when I've watched television and can't focus. Why? Because they offended my sensibilities, as I am reminded of my need for refinement; by the Holy Spirit. I lost attention because shows I've previously enjoyed showed depravity and became repulsive to the point of vexing my spirit. Sex, lust, lies, blood shed, profanity, idolatry, occult, unnatural affections, etc. It's EVERYWHERE and on all platforms including some Televangelistic teaching media and streaming. Where the line strays from the truth of the Word of God. It is is impossible to interpret the Word out of context IF you stay on script, line by line, and precept upon precept. You must know the Word when you hear it and know God's voice over the opposition of other's revealed to be false teachers and false prophecy. You must raise your tolerance level of discomfort when you are honest about your self examination. If your job would scrutinize you for your Web Browser History. Wouldn't your family members also be ashamed of your freedoms of expression and your pursuit of "perversions"? Some parents and Grandparents use the "I'm an adult" excuse. I say, in the home of a believer; as I say, " In my house "you don't do anything under my roof that I don't do!" What is good for the Duck is good as an example for the ducklings. The Holy Spirit cannot occupy an already inhabited house. A thorough cleaning means you must submit your vulnerability with humility. He must be surrendered the keys to your locks. Passcode access accepted for He indwells to stay and not AirBnB.
