Back in early ‘85 my buddy introduced me to his new female co-worker. I was almost immediately enamoured. I spent the better part of the next year pursuing her, but she played ‘hard to get’ to the extreme. I finally said f*** it, and stopped. Cold. Suddenly she was everywhere. But I blew her off. I’d had enough of the games. She finally cornered me at a social gathering, and apologized. Then she asked ME out. Just under 2 years later we were married. We just celebrated our 34th anniversary at the beginning of this month. Not saying it is the solution every time, but as I once heard in a movie; never chase women or buses. If you walk away, and they don’t pursue you, then it was never going to happen anyway. You saved yourself a lot of time, and heartache.

I forced my significant other into accepting and admitting to how she was treating me when I walked away.. This happens all the time, I had a girl showing me signs, I ask her out, said yes then flake, then I pull away, she pulls in, I then have a date with her, she is enthusiastic on the date, then later I ask her out again, she become flakey again, then I pull away a little then I got a second date with her. I have tonight just had to tell the girl I care deeply about that I need to walk away because I’m not getting what I deserve from her, I’m putting far too much effort in for next to no return from her and I need to walk away. @@Jake-by9ly Well, for what she told me, she got really hurt in the past. She gave excuses not to go out on a date with me: she wasn´t ready and such. I walked away by aggreeing on blocking each other. Came back two months later saying she missed me, so she came back but not to be together....I kept her around, started flirting like we always did, but she said once "its ok to play but not to fall in love" There´s when it hit me...last week I told her to meet for a coffee, and said she had to think about it cuz she was already seeing someone else, and didn´t want to ruin it, or have a misunderstanding with the other dude. It hurt. Only thing I did was "Thank you for everything. You have been a great lesson in my life and I wish you the best" "i wish you the best too" and blocked her. I would´ve erased her number...but the "edit" button is on the cracked non touchable part of my phone XD.

It's true. it's the strategy i always give my guy friends.. Now you see me, now you don't. Do not be always available. Just like how girls intentionally take their time before answering your calls. Here's what you're going to do. Be with her, pay her attention, be the gentleman, whatever you do to get her affection. Do it for 2-3 days. Then, after that, BE BUSY. Don't pay her much attention. Don't answer her calls all the time. Just send her a text maybe once. Do it for 2-3 days as well. She will be annoyed. She will be pissed. BUT, SHE WILL MISS YOU. then, go back to her.. repeat the process 😂 it's push and pull.

I would say walking away only works if you actually mean it. If you use it as a tactic to pretend to be over her and wait for her to chase after you, she will be able to tell. If you walk away, it's with the understanding it's for real and she's not coming back. You're doing it for your own self care and self respect because you don't want to invest more time and effort into her. Should she actually start chasing you should see that as a bonus not your objective.

Ok here it goes, Met this girl back in August, we instantly hit it off, i am older by 20 years , We hooked up every time we got together, had amazing conversations, fun together and just alot of fun. I have to admit I feel to quickly and told her, ( big mistake) she got overwhelmed, said she needed space. So i did, this is the second time to give her space. She knows Im not friend zone material, and I really like her, we connected again but she says she misses me, but she still acts distant. Should i just walk away, I consider myself a great catch, ??

it’ll serve you better if you just walk away now instead of being forced to later. She most likely has options and unfortunately she probably doesn’t view you as the highest one. If she did she wouldn’t be acting the way she is. Once a woman starts being distant all you can do is walk away, it hurts especially when you car about that person but keeping your self respect is the most important thing..

It matters not to me. 🤷‍♀️ If I have been seeing someone for a while and they disappear, I will probably check in on them to make sure they are okay and don't need anything... but if a relationship is new and the man doesn't know me all that well, I will assume he has found someone else or gotten preoccupied with life. Find yourself a woman who is complete without you. She won't chase you, but she will be a healthy partner.
