Given the 3-D style on this Type 5, what is represented by the large wooden object strapped to the left side? It's not a table, surfboard or "native shield". I've looked closely at my Type 5 with same 3-D, and cannot tell. A little help, please.

Type 5H used to be fearsome, but it seems that evry player these days knows exactly where to front shoot it - yes that generous vertical "stripe" between low hull plate and tourelle. 0 fun any more. It reaaly needs a nice buff to make it survive more.
