Can a pregnant/breastfeeding woman select some food for her own health and some food for her baby? Do they have that capability to make two portions of food in her body? How can a pregnant/breastfeeding women keep Fasting when Verse 2:233 says to breastfeed two full years and 19:26 says, to eat and drink?

I tried to fast but i got alot of braxton higgs contractions and the second day i got even belly pains and if you get to many of them you might go in to early labour that was my scare and i am 34 weeks so i had to stop unfortunatly..

This guy doesn't know what he's talking about. Allah (swt) clearly exempted pregnant women from fasting during ramadan.

@@Ibrahim-gm2bofear Allah sister! Be respectful to the sheikh! Even if you desegree with him at least show good manners ( actually it's not his own opinion. He's referring to scholars of Islam)

@@Ibrahim-gm2bo but thats what he said? If you fear for the child or yourself you can stop fasting. But if you think you are capable and there is nothing that is holding you back of fear or disease you should fast. Thats what i hear from alot of scolars. It could be that you are in your first trimester and you fear for miscarriage or you are in your third trimester and you fear for early labour or you might have pregnancy complications etcetc. In my case i did not really have fear or pregnancy complications so i fasted 2 days and the second day the braxtonhiggs started and i said well let me rest on day 3 and fast day 4 again but the 4th day the same thing happened so i had to basically stop myself. Eventho i wanted to fast and j have no pregnancy complications i had to stop. Also my gynocoligist said its better that you dont fast because your baby needs all the food it can get to gain weight these days. So yeah. Maybe you misunderstood the sheikh dear brother/sister he is not the only one saying this either.

This is totally untrue. Shame on you Brother. Allah (SWT) has clearly exempted pregnant and breastfeeding women from fasting. Pregnancy and nurturing a newborn takes an extreme physical toll on women. And Our Lord, the Most Aware and Merciful, know this. So how dare you as a MAN try to tell women that Allah commands them to fast during the most grueling period of their lives. This is disgusting and quite frankly shocking to hear this coming from you. I admired you a lot.

It’s up to your capability sister. I did fast in one of my pregnancy and Alhamdulillah my youngest daughter was fine. How I have wished I fasted for all of my 3 pregnancies.

Don't be quick to criticise and disrespect a wise person, listen carefully to what he said and you'll understand within your capacity meaning everyone has a different situation

Please rewatch the video with a serene mind. The Ustadh has explained things clearly enough, mentioning the Commandment of Allah and His Concessions for women on fasting. Then he advises you to consult your local Imam for Fatwa on further guidance based on your specific circumstances. What more can one ask for? Please do Istighfar due to your disrespectful comment to a da'ee in the month of Ramadan. May Allah (SWT) overlook our shortcomings. Aameen!

I think you're too harsh and disrespectful. Even that is the case that's not how you approach the situation
