@@ladysaw999 Hi, yes these two pieces of software will work on the A940 if that's the PC you are referring too, however, I'm not sure if the Precision Dial works fully with them. This comes down to the software writers to catch up with new hardware. I will look into this early next week and get back with you. The Precision Dial is an important part of the work flow experience so I want to provide you with accurate information.

@@ladysaw999 Oh ok, sorry. You will need to look up the specs on the A540 to match to those two software's minimum performance requirements. See if Lenovo has an A540 model that can be configured to meet the performance requirements for those two pieces of software. The A540 is a lower performance/budget friendlier PC so there may not be an A540 that is powerful enough for those types of Adobe creative products. Hope this helps!

I prefer a desktop pc when at home, because it’s easily accessible. The laptop is usually put away in its sleeve. Cannot be bothered to get it out sometimes (I know I’m lazy!)

Hi Bryan. So the A540 that we featured here doesn't have a dedicated graphics card, it's graphical power is run by the Intel processor. Internal graphics have improved a lot so is fine for smaller titles which are less demanding, but if you're looking to run AAA games with high graphics, you'll be better off considering a device that as a dedicated graphics card. All depends on how demanding your games are :)

Hear of any issues with the a540? Not that much information out there but I seen some reviews that people had issues with the computer freezing and having to unplug to restart it ? Really interested so need some more information

The only issue that I experienced with the Lenovo A540-24ICB was not waking up from power-saving state when I bought it in 2020. Disabling screen power-saving mode and enabling an animated screensaver was a workaround; the screen eventually goes blank, as in powered down, but instantly awakens with a few taps on the wireless keyboard. I recently upgraded the RAM from 8GB to 64GB which turned out to be an adventure in disassembling the computer - the system board and all of the technology is inside the monitor housing.

Hi! As the A540 is not designed as a gaming machine, I can't recommend it over a device with a dedicated graphics card. However, fortnite is not a very demanding game, so on the machine we showcased here for instance, it would certainly run the minimum requirements. If you're looking at gaming more frequently though, I'd look at something with a dedicated graphics card :) Adam

Hello, I have the a540, I put my (qi compatible) phone there and it's not charging... I've check the bios and the option is enabled. I can't find anything related to wireless charging inside the os... Do you have any idea what can be the reason? Or any recommendations for make it work? Thanks

@@ladysaw999 I love it! I just got a fully remote job and am also a full time remote student atm so I use this computer quite frequently. It's been really easy to get used to, even somebody who came from a different OS (even though windows has always been my preference personally). The touch screen is very responsive and convenient, it can do split screen (which was just something I was used to from previous computer). Feel free to ask me any questions you have!

I HATE lenovo for making this kind of crazy things. Opened Lenovo Ideacenter aio F0EU to put m.2 ssd and damaged screen while opening.

Did you place the screen on a soft surface? I disaseembled my Lenovo A540-24ICB to upgrade the RAM without damaging the screen. The disassembly process requires care but it can be completed without damaging the computer, including the screen.

@@0x007A as engineer i can say that 2 Bolts could solve the problem of disassembling whole back panel to put there SSD. AIO without SSD is real trash.

@@jasurbeklazizjonov given the location of the SSD and RAM an external cover over each of the SSD and RAM, with two or four screws, would be more user-friendly. The A540-24 has a metal plate covering the system board and all components whose purpose defies me and made replacing the RAM slightly more tedious. Fortunately, if I decide to uprade the HDD there is an eject button under the monitor, but the 256 GB SSD will require disassembling the AIO again - as a primary drive 256 GB is sufficient for the operating system and applications.

Hmm interesting. Double check that the wireless coils are aligning (it will be dead centre of the charging pad and the phone) - If you have anyone in your household with a wireless charging phone, get them to try. If theirs doesn't charge, we can assume it's something wrong with the charger and you can get in contact with your retailer or manufacturer :) Without a different phone to test, it's hard to determine if it's the phone or the PC.
