Obama really called starship troopers a satire. Starship troopers was the name of the book plastered over a movie script called bughunt at outpost 43. Verhoven never read the book and didn't like it based on a tldr his assistant gave him. Helldivers is a very good satire for starship troopers in the sense that super earth is the total opposite to the federation Heinlein depicted, the dystopic counterpart in every way, down to how democracy is conducted, the rights granted to the people and how it fights it's wars. I'd highly recommend reading starship troopers, it's a very good book.
