This is the best podcast ever 💙💙💙. I dont know if your gonna read this Ayyub but ive struggled with self worth, and confidence a lot aswell and i also noticed recently that i have an anxious attachment style im trying to work on myself but i dont have the same targets as everyone else. I can't get married because i just dont find women attractive. But as a muslim with same sex attraction i also refuse to give in to the LGBTQ agenda so i will just try to live my life according to the Quran and Sunnah and hope that Allah makes it easy for me to do whatever i wanna do. I have a new purpose in life to see the beautiful creation of Allah and travel the world. Alhumdulilah Allah has blessed me with some wealth to do this and i feel amazing to be blessed with the opportunity to do this. But my goals are to get closer to Allah by seeing the beauty of the world and focusing on my connection with him. Insha Allah. I hope any one else dealing with this issue can try to understand that its not the end of the world, it sure feels like it after you realise you arent attracted to women but just stay in control Allah will help you with your desires and urges its just a test like any other test from Allah. My heart, May Allah SWT grant your mother Shif'a! Honestly, I know it is easy to say but spend that time with your family! That time with your family will never come back and it will honestly cause so much regret, but once you actively start to make more of an effort to spend time with them, you will realise you have all the time in the world - In'Sha'Allah -to fulfilling your career aspirations or future endeavours, and those precious moments of time will be more valuable to you, for the remainder of your lives. Your mother can see all the sacrifices that you both are making and I'm certain she is so proud of you both! So do try to relieve a bit of that pressure from your shoulders In'Sha'Allah :)

Ayoub literally made me cry too, I’m not a man but I felt the exact same pressure because of the fact that I don’t want to have to marry a man that isn’t the right person just to be taken care of. I think there’s so much stress in a lot of peoples lives recently and even these emotions that go unseen is a test from Allah swt. Essentially we wish things were perfect and we forget this is not our forever home. I’ve recently found that making gratitude a daily practice with journalling in general has been so helpful in feeling that fulfilment. That’s what we don’t have, our perspective doesn’t allow us to feel fulfilment and so we’re always uneasy and in a state of burn out or what’s next. As a reminder to myself and to Ayoub and everyone else, even this is a test by Allah swt, the jihad against your mind. There’s no hardship you go through that Allah swt doesn’t reward you for. It’s crazy to think on the day of judgement we will wish we experienced more hardship just to increase our ranks. They will ask us how long we believe we stayed in earth and we will say perhaps a part of a day. It shows how insignificant it will all be. I know we don’t feel that right now but we believe that it is true even when we don’t feel it- that’s our power as Muslim. Take the steps you believe Allah swt would want you to take for this particular test in this very moment and remember Surah duha says “ And the next life is certainly far better for you than this one.” “And ˹surely˺ your Lord will give so much to you that you will be pleased.” As Muslims this is our purpose. We believe that this life is temporary and so the best thing you can actually do for your loved ones is acts of kindness and compassion and show love that will inshallah also bring them closer to their deen. If you are able to help guide your family to better please Allah then you have done so much more than buy them a mansion or whatever luxuries this world can bring- you’ve given eternal care rather than just temporary. For me these verses give me so much trust that actually everything I’m feeling right now won’t even matter and aslong as I continuously remind myself of Allah and simply be the character he’d want me to be. The prophet saw often looked at ways he could help and guide others… look into how you can best embody our prophet saw and how we can l take this life simply so that we can truly love, connect and trust in Allah swt.

Idk if ayoub will see this but for the way you’re feeling please read Surah Baqarah over a period of 3 days. Around 100 ayat each day. And then you continue it for life and don’t break the cycle. 100 ayahs every day. It is life changing. Please read upon the benefits of it. It’s also the ONLY thing that BREAKS black magic and evil eye so please for numerous reasons try to stick to that. I promise your life will change إن شاء الله

I had to drop by and say this is the best podcast ever and flamingo!!! Because I’m so happy that Ayoub was able to be vulnerable and emotional. Made me tear up wallah. Nisrin girlll just be yourself be open and don’t worry about potential consequences. We love you for you are hbiba! Alsoooooo just an advice when filling your address for these delivery companies I would say put extra info in there including your phone number in one of the address lines. I’ve had these stupid issues with yodel! But yeah defo add things to make it clear to them where you. Sometimes these delivery drivers use Waze instead of Google maps or Apple Maps and not all postcodes take them to the right place. So I would say put your address into waze and see if it actually takes you to your house. Love you guys xxxx

Currently going through a similar issue with my mum in hospital and feeling like I’m not where I want to be in my career etc. Try to take each day as it comes and enjoy it, one day we may look back and realise we spent so much time worrying about things that are out of our control. Honestly, I feel like what you are going through Ayoub is very real and absolutely understandable. I’m not a guy but as one of the oldest kids I can empathize on the pressure that we put ourselves to reach the goal to ease our parents lives. Because it’s our way to show our gratitude for all their sacrifices. As a guy/man I know the pressure is way higher. Aww Ayoub InshaAllah khayr for your guys mom and everything we all are going through may Allah make it easy for us. I just loved the last 20 minutes of this episode because I’ve just realized that we all feel the same feelings and we’re human and we need to take this step by step it’s the future that so daunting to us that we forget to live in the present moment. How are we gonna enjoy the future if we can’t enjoy the moment we’re in right now? Also what makes me smile the most is knowing that in jannah we’ll be together and even though we might not reach what we want to do in this life like Ayoub was saying we need to remember eternity like when we go to jannah we’ll be asked how long did you live in this world and we’ll say it was maybe two or three days and jannah is gonna be forever like foreverrrrr with family and no stress.
