She is ahead of her time. I remember when she first started releasing music and people couldn’t deny her music was good, but it was overshadowed by society’s inability to accept Gossip Girl’s Jenny showing such a “dark side” or “promiscuse side”. Now, people (I hope) realize how vulnerable and raw she’s been to show how hard depression and life can be. I can’t even imagine going through regular life..in the public eye. Especially as someone who’s been in the industry at such a younger age, when things were so different than they are now…best wishes to Taylor. She rocks. Her music rocks. Queuing it up after this!! Wish her nothing but goodness. Over and out.

Well some people only care about image as she said they were more interested in her clothes than her words so a shallow society is depressing to anyone with real depth. Sad part is though as you get older more loved ones die so pain just accumulates sometimes and there are other heartaches other than death too.

I remember seeing when she first turned to rock and everyone said she had "taken the wrong path" or that she must be a gothic drug fiend because she's a rocker. Honestly, the saddest and most heartfelt stories you hear are in the rock industry. So many legends that rule the industry are long gone. Taylor has lost a lot of friends in the industry. Taylor is an amazing musician and she's an absolute trooper. She has a voice of a rockstar and the face of an angel. That juxtaposition us just so alluring. What a strong woman. She deserves an apology from the Internet.

I live in small town Ohio and a lot of people around me view rock musicians and even a lot of rock fans as drug addicted, sexual deviants. Meanwhile, these same people who are so down on rock culture are huge country music fans. Country music itself has a long history of dysfunction that survives to this day.

Okay, I dont usually post anything. I love this band and I had NO IDEA who she was prior to being the rock star in the band. I came to them/her for the incredible music. Seeing this story blows my mind. Depression is such a battle. I used to think it was an excuse, then I was given the gift of first hand knowledge of how it feels when "the bag goes on your head and you go down the hole of hopeless despair". I think it is eye opening to see this story and I knew when I bought the album that this song "Only love can save me now", and most of the album was different in words from prior work. It is one of my favorite songs she/they do and the unplugged version will give you goose bumps! Taylor you are the light! You are legit and relevant! I am sure my wife and I are coming to one of the upcoming shows. Keep the faith, keep positive & moving forward and keep rockin Taylor! I know it is a constant battle. While there I spent a ton of time on KZbin wasting time watching videos and listening to music. The algorithm kept feeding me her songs as being something I'd like, so I finally broke down and listened to "Heaven Knows", which led me to "F'd Up World", then "Take Me Down", and the more I listened, the more I liked. I was sold! Next thing I know I'm buying their records, have become a fan, and can't wait to being able to see them live. Great to hear that she's on the mend spiritually, and back playing again. I remember seeing them live at Rock on the Range after they first came out and I wasn't impressed. Taylor seemed very insecure in her singing at the time. However, I recently saw them again in April opening up for Shinedown and it was like a complete 180. She seemed much more secure & confident in her singing and stage presence. I wouldn't say they're my favorite band but they've definitely earned my respect now. Regarding depression, I'm glad to hear she's made it through the worst of it and is speaking out about it. I suffered from depression a lot through High School and thought about harming myself many times. I even made a couple of half-hearted attempts to end it but thankfully couldn't go through with it. I slowly but steadily came out of that depression starting in my mid-20s and feel like it completely lifted in my early 30s a few years after my first daughter was born. Now I have 3 beautiful children from 14, 11 and 3 which is something I never thought was a possibility in during the height of my depression. Now after going through depression, I really fear for the battle that my own kids may endure with it at some point and it's one of my biggest fears to be honest.
