I switched to the Pretty Things when I considered The Stones had sold out to commercial hits. The P Things were always a true rock band.Sadly I never saw them. I am 74 and consider my era had the best music ever, sadly the lads are going or gone. Long live proper bands

Singapore Silk Torpedo, Savage Eye, although excellent LP's are every bit commercial as anything the Stones did.

I love the Pretty Things do but it’s probably an unfair knock on the Stones.

I was fortunate to see them in SF on 9/6/99, after being a fan since 1965. Had my photo taken with Phil. Great show at Bimbo’s 365 Club. I’ll never forget it.

Effectivement, c'est un super groupe. Je regrette aussi de ne pas avoir eu l'occasion de les voir sur scène...

This made me subscribe !!! The Pretties were a GREAT group and act - always creative but sadly underestimated - but these guys never cheated the audience - a Pretty Things concert was always more than your money's worth !!! RIP Phil May !!!

Wonderful soloing here by Taylor. It made me think of the psychedelic playing on SF Sorrow.

As I'm 79 and pushing 80 but still bashing my guitar - even playing recent stuff I found your remark very encouraging. Sometimes, no matter how satisfied I am with one particular performance or other, it does cross my mind that I may appear like some ridiculous dinosaur who won't lie down. :)

I loved that! Pretty Things really impressed me with SF Sorrow, and this song had the same energy, with some added fun, although the Floyder didn't really add anything at all (except for showing up!)

Recréer une ambiance psychédélique n'est pas toujours facile, malgré l'apport de D.Gilmour. La version originale de 1966, plus courte, mais nettement plus rythmée, était plus en accord avec son époque.
