My earliest memories of TPiR is around this time. My dad was working nights at the time so he and I watched it together in the mornings, I was preschool age. And later when he was sick he and I would watch it every morning, though Drew had taken over by then. Watching old episodes is like a double game of trying to think of prices at that time.

In the car game where you have to spell out car or find a car that says when car, he said, the only one other person had picked the number one. I remember that because I actually just saw the other so recently. It was an older gentleman, and he picked one through five in a row. And he actually did win the car.

The Price Is Right around this time was the #1 show in daytime tv (in spite of the ongoing news coverage of the OJ Simpson murder trial). 12:27 One thing about the Bakers rack was that one contestant during Clock Game failed spectacularly at bidding when he bid $50 and spent the next 30 seconds bidding in $50 increments to the astonishment of Bob Barker. The actual retail price for the bakers rack was $701.

Afterward, CBS was airing Round of 16 matches in the 1995 US Open Tennis Tournament through 6 pm ET that day. Other CBS affiliates saw the daytime lineup bumped by the _MDA Telethon_ that day, since it was Labor Day.
