That painful loss in Lucky Seven was back when there were zeros in the price! They stopped doing that in the early 80s.

Gives me fond memories of sitting in the rec room where the tv was. We had red/orange shag carpeting throughout, dart board, bar, recliners, wooden panelling, etc. And the merry sounds of TPIR on the tv. I would have been 14.

My cousins had a stereo chair downstairs in their basement game room. Always thought it was cool when we would visit them In Orlando. The late '70s were a groovy time man. I was 13 in 1977.

By this time, they moved Danger Price from the turntable to the giant price tag since it was probably hard to see the prices from the turntable.

Thank you for posting this episode, I always like seeing vintage TPIR episodes from the 1970's and 1980's. This is one of Holly Hallstrom's earliest episodes after she became an official Barker's Beauty. This episode originally aired 3 days after my brother was born.

28:46 "Mid-size"??????? I've seen Mansions smaller than that enormous monstrosity. 30:06 how is the first Ace maxed out at $1000 but she can make the second Ace whatever she wants?

An ace could be made any dollar amount from $1 to $1,000. She made the first one $1,000 since her bid was so low. With her bid much higher, she made the second worth $300 to give herself an even bid.

Looks like this is one of the first times, if not the first time that Danger Price was moved to the Giant Price Tag until 1985, where tapings late in the year at least moved to the current Door #2 configuration.
