Awesome find! It's great to see the first showcase showdown of $1,000 winner as well as Colleen's groovy outfit. Thanks for posting! 🎉

Considering it was made in the 70s, even if the design stayed longer, it still could've been replaced by the wheel we know. Can't imagine this wheel still being used today.

With the "Jeopardic!" sounding big wheel prototype, Mr. Mark Goodon said "Take this, Trebek!!". Markyyy, always enjoy your uploads man!

Trebek wasn't hosting Jeopardy at this time. The show wasn't even on the air either.

Jeopardy! isn't even a Goodson Todman production.

Would've been more like "Take this, Fleming!" as the original _Jeopardy!_ has been canceled earlier in 1975 by NBC, just shy of the end of the third season of CBS's current TPIR.

I wonder why the podium they had to stand at has a microphone. Cathy is really cute.

In the spinoff in case of a tie, they did 2 spins as well. By the time it officially became one hour on Nov 3, 1975, the spinoff went to one spin ever since.

They should have kept 2.

In addition after two contestants tied at $1, if you spin another $1 in the spinoff, you’ll get another $1,000.

No bonus spin that time

The numbers on this wheel are in the same running order as the one we all came to know going forward from this.

Interesting seeing the contestants getting confused the first time they did the wheel. I don't think they understood it was two cumulative spins.

@@angrybirdsfan2003 Yep, the third anniversary week and its week long trial of hour-long episodes. By November, they would expand the show to an hour permanently, and the wheel became the style used today.

The wheel also didn't have to go all the way around either. That rule came later with the big wheel.
