Nope. It premiered in Season 29. It was won once that season, and won once in S30. S31 had two winners of Triple Play.

my mistake but the week season 31 started Rod died and was replaced midway through season 31 by Rich Fields

Triple Play premiered in 2002 on the first show of the 31st season but that show was also Rod Roddy's last because he died just as the 31st season was starting he was replaced by Rich Fields

I remember this game, but the name has anything to do with baseball. The baseball season has officially started, the Yankees played yesterday and Yanks won on its season home opener at Yankee Stadium. “Triple Play” is the most difficult game to play for 3 cars.

Fun fact: Rod Roddy was the voice guy for the opening narration of the TV show SOAP.

@@mr.intensity2685 Yes he did. And he also did the voice on “Mickey’s Mouse of House”.

they don't give away the car anyhow if you want they will make a call up a local car dealership around you and make a deal but i think they also let you choose a cash award too

@AMEwrestling Big disagree on that one. People will opt out on the first car, which would degrade the game to make it not worth playing. I like the all or nothing. You have to make it tough.

A BRAND NEW BONUS RULE SHOULD BE FOR TRIPLE PLAY ON TPIR!!--THE CONTESTANT WHO,S SUCCESSFUL ENOUGH TO WIN ALL 3 CARS--SHOULD ALSO WIN A BONUS OF $100,000(DAYTIME)!!--PRIMETIME VERSION A SUPER BONUS OF $1,000,000!!

Odds of winning are 1 in 24 if the player is guessing
@gameshowguy200013 жыл бұрын
@abc21abc2123 I agree with you and AMEwrestling on the fact that an "opt-out" feature would make the game less tedious, and the game's name wouldn't make much sense. There are indeed three cars at stake--and it should be all-or-none. The "opt-out" would take out the play-along factor as well as the excitement.

What is with these boring contestants that are stone rocks when they win $60,795 worth of car? If I won a ~$25,000 Mustang, along with 2 cars that I could sell to pay the taxes on it and still have a good 15 grand or so left over to do with as I pleased, I'd be freaking ecstatic.
