Lena is not a wise woman, it's not she lost everything because of love, it's lust and in the process mistakenly interpreted it as love. There was the telltale sign when Andrei replied that he broke up with his ex-gf because he doesn't like pressure. And what's the pressure? a commitnent for a lasting relationship, and this is real love which Andrei isn't capable of - he wants an easy life, having women for use and disposal later on, like what he did to his ex-gf and eventually to Lena. He quickly reverted back to the ex-gf when Lina told him that she's stopping to see him because she's with a family already. That ex-gf? Batting average, Andrei will dump her again, she's just needed until he fully recovers. He cannot just quickly change his ways.
