I think this would pair really well with Cilla Conway's decks (just thought that after seeing Shimmering Veil in the recommended section). I am really into this artwork as I have been diving deep in ancestral work lately. I LOVE the Dreamer card. It's honestly pretty hard to tell that this is AI, it looks like actual cave paintings. Omg I think I want this lol it's going on my list! Thank you for sharing 😍

Hi There! That is wonderful you are getting up and down the stairs. The artwork is just gorgeous in this deck. Wow! The dreamer card is stunning. The Mother of Wands is a beautiful card. I love all of the minors in this deck. 2 of Cups was a beautiful pull and the meaning from the book was great. All of the pairings look gorgeous!! The issue is AI is being trained on/through other people's artwork that haven't consented to their artwork being used by AI. So it is essentially using stolen artwork to come up with images. And the artists aren't being compensated for their artwork being used. So how can a Tarot deck be produced ethically with AI if AI is using stolen artwork to come up with the images? I'm totally bummed, because this theme is totally my style. But I can't justify purchasing a deck created through AI at this time due to it essentially learning from stolen artwork and uncompensated artists.

First off, I do not agree with you! I do not agree that a technique is the same thing as stolen artwork. Schools of art teach technique from other artists, why is it any different when it is used in a software. I do not believe all is the same thing. Can you give me a concrete example of an artist artwork that was stolen to create the actual art used on this deck? AI technology isn't going away anytime soon, I think it is wise for us to utilize it in a way that we can benefit from it. How do you know exactly that the AI software wasn't taught with copyright free artwork also? Copyright free artwork that people have absolutely no problem copying and using in different colors and in collage decks and more all the time? What inside information do you have that can prove this is the case for this particular deck?

We know because lawsuits have been filed that AI is not using copyright free artwork. I can't post links, but I'll post article titles and where they came from that you can Google. Is AI Art Stealing from Artists? The New Yorker I don't know about the specific processes this specific deck creator used. But we know AI is being taught with stolen artwork and lawsuits are moving forward in regards to copyright. Just recently there have been rulings stating art and possibly writings created with AI cannot be copyrighted. Why else would that be unless they were too closely derived from copywritten materials? Everyone has to decide for themselves. For now, my personal opinion is not to purchase decks that have been created with AI, until we can guarantee that it is based only in copyright free materials or artists/creators have been fairly compensated.

Thank you for trying to reply again. Yes if you put a link in the comments that is why it didn’t appear. I don’t allow links in the comments because of hackers. You can never be to careful and I have had some bad websites advertised in my comment section before. I just went through as much as I could find on lawsuits and that is exactly what they are. Anybody can file a lawsuit, and to my knowledge nothing has been ruled against these companies to prove stealing and they are fighting these lawsuits because the images were within the public domain. Now I will say this. If this was a clear case of even closely stealing someone’s ART as in a copy, and not a program learning from looking at images like we do, that would be different to me ethically but once we put a technique or idea out within the mass population it is no longer just ours unless it is an exact copy in my opinion. I created an all spreads deck last year and another deck was just created that had the exact idea as my deck, even though it is different spreads and appearance it was still my idea first or my technique first! Even utility pattens are only allowed for a short period of time because we cannot stop progress. When I was a jewelry creator and would sew big elaborate pieces of artwork only the actual exact copying was an infringement because the techniques I used to create them were open for all. Examples I mean are Peyote Stitch, Herringbone Stitch and more. I could go on and on with this from experience but I think I have made my point. Ethically what you and I see as stealing are two different things.
