Clara Bow...while she was still active in film making...there was almost nothing she could not do. She was vastly underrated, even in her life time.

If only Hollywood overlooked her Brooklyn accent when movies went from silent to sound. She was the real life Lina Lamont from Singin In The Rain only a lot less nasty.

Some people believe she didn’t do well in talkies because of her Brooklyn accent, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. She was able to speak without her accent and made 10 or more talkies. It was her choice to leave Hollywood because of the way she was treated. Also, she wanted to be a good mom to her two boys.

Yeah but i think that leaving hollywood contribute to her mental ilness to increase. She didnt have nothing to do, where to put her emotions
