Good day sir, Grazing is more of a strategy than a plan as you adjust your grazing rotation and rest periods based on regrowth, which is a function of soil moisture, fertility, and also temp. As of now, I’m planning to do 2 quick fall rotations of 25-35 days apiece(just taking the grass tips) followed by a long winter rotation of 90+ days(60-70% utilization- leaving 6” approx.) till spring. That’s based on current conditions, which are decent although we could use a little more moisture. I also plan to feed hay (bale grazing a couple fields) in about a month, which will slow fall grazing but should augment growth for winter.
