If the ore you find has (x Cave) next to it, it was rolled with the cave and not from the layer! So yeah, it was an in-layer out-of-layer drop. :)

If an ore is generated by a cave, you calculate the odds using ore rarity * cave rarity (and * 1.88 to factor in cave constant) It doesn't matter if it's in-layer or out-of-layer, the ore was generated by the cave and thus has cave odds and not layer odds.@@keyo6524

Oh no! The way the devs allow you to AFK the game is a little weird. Basically, I hold left click and tab out of the game, then I tab back in and hold up arrow and tab back out. This allows me to mine in the way you see in the video! I am 100% macro free. :)
