Jorge Jobe, Stefan Everts, Jon Michelle Baile. They all looked like they were going slow from being so smooth. The information this guy is giving out is pure gold, if you're still having trouble you're not listening properly.

So true… I remember in 2006 desertmartin seeing stefan everts coming around the first lap literally in slow motion.. he was pulling away from Josh Coppins who looked like a speed demon

For those of you not in motoacademy, they also point out that roll speed rather than charging in, will keep the suspension from compressing in really hard. This allows for control and stability when hitting rough spots or if things start to get sketchy. You don't pull a Chase, and tuck the front end. You'll watch him catch up to Jett right at the corner, and then BAM, on the ground.

Great description AJ …I needed this. I’ve been thinking a lot about Jett and how he flows around the track and you’re breakdown seems spot on. Back in the 2 stroke days it was “you’re either on the brakes or on the gas” Some people (who will remain nameless) say its a sport of starts, every corner is a stop and every straight away is a start. None of this fits with the way Jett rides but what you describe here fits perfectly 👍

Something iv been really working on that’s close to roll speed is setting up for my corners sooner then I think which in return has helped my roll speed coming into them

Take advantage of all of this knowledge that really was hard to find in the Old School days. I remember going into a hard pack right with a small kicker exit at open practice Glen Helen on my YZ 250. I thought I nailed that turn and exit. Then Steve Lamson blew past me doing a wheelie on his CR 125. Note to self, roll speed, roll speed.

One of the most important concepts to grasp with racing. Everyone is taught to charge to each corner like it’s the first turn and this results in decreased momentum and fluidity becuse you are always over braking

This is exactly how I take corners. Thank God I'm not doing it wrong haha I started to question if I was doing something wrong because I've never been someone to use the rear brake much at all and when I come into the corner I let off the throttle and lightly use the front brake and don't touch the rear at all unless I'm coming off a fast straightaway. And just cruise and use engine breaking and roll through half way of the rut then gently get on the throttle. But I tried chasing a national level A rider yesterday and he still blew my doors off in the corners. I'm a local 30+ B rider. I can't believe how fast he gapped me in tighter corners. So much corner speed it was embarrassing

Easier for me to rapidly add lean angle in the initial 1/3 of the turn while and rolling. Seems like less pitching this way as adding lean angle maintains front end loading while releasing front brake. Please comment AJ.

Question: In order to maintain entrance roll speed is it better to enter the corner a gear higher or to maintain a trailing throttle in a gear lower? Any difference in technique 2 Stroke vs 4 Puke?

It’s amazing how much of good technique isn’t intuitive. You really need to get rid of the bad habits and start to practice the proper way.

Ok AaJ is Pissin me Off here,I had Videos of Him at Daytona Absolutely Flying & So Smooth in Practice, then Totally Droppin the Ball in his Motos, dude is So Smart & is Such a Good Rider, but Wasn’t Up to Par in his Races,it’s a Total Mind Game …as He Perfectly Explains here in How to Corner.I’m Still a Fan & just Wish He could have Put things Together in his Racing,I Did see him Win Motos but Only Heat Races,it’s Such a Bummer to see a Good Rider Not Win

not that hard, you won't be able to do it at the same speed obviously

Seems like the downfall of this approach would be to not stay on the gas far enough into the turn and begin coasting too early. So many times I pass guys who are sitting down and coasting into corners, whereas I stay standing up and on the gas a bit longer. Makes sense to be smooth and carrying speed into the corner though and a higher gear will facilitate this.

Teach how to ride a ktm 250 two-stroke. The bike pulls so hard and builds power so fast, it wants to air wheelie even in 4th gear if I barely increase throttle at bottom of jump. I have to get my speed up and let off bc it air wheelies so easily.

forget the brakes drop the bike low at point of turn with boot down and add power on way out of turn use smaller machine to practice like 125 because larger machines are heavy and the g force throws you out exiting the turn however when you build up more strenght you can handle a 250 or 450 even 500 enduro but this is my basic technique for fast turns

the reason they gave is that they messed up by announcing it before the deal was actually closed. they ran into something they didn't like or plan on.

@@yukonjon5964 I mean I can kinda tell that but they made a huge video promoting it. The least they can do is make a video explaining what happened and why the deal fell through. Aj saying he wants 6 plus facilities in 3-5 years and can’t even close the deal on 1.
