A few Dragon Cons ago, I saw a girl doing a cosplay of The Pro who had stopped to lean against a wall and tug up one legging that had slipped. The authentic feeling she'd captured was gobsmacking. I remember finding this randomly on an adult comic website, what a trip. It's a genuinely thoughtful story. I didn't realize it was by Ennis. He really does write one dimensional heroes though, it's like he only writes the stereotypes. The casual brutality is also a bit much, I'm all for realistic super physics, but he dials it up to 11. I preferred how the Boys show handled a lot of the violence, it's there and absolutely brutal and spectacular, but not gratuitous in the same way. The violence in this was similar, but just a bit more realistic; like a proto Boys.

I looked at that ending bro as a woman that was depressed, angry and just had a F it attitude. Hancock had the same mentality. He spent all day just laying around for the most part and was a hero by either accident or when someone forced his hand. This really reminds me of that. So Garths logic on "someone being from the lowest parts of society being a hero" isn't all that sound. It really depends on what kind of hero we want out of that person. Do we want superman, batman, or hancock? Superman lived a pretty privileged life with moderate stress, lots of support from family and being an invincible alien. Batman had LOTS of trauma, little support, but had resources out the ass and 1 unconditional support in Alfred. Hancock was a broken man in most aspects and didn't even care for his powers because his mind was just messed up most of the time. We get what hero we can settle for imo. It's our job to not take there sacrifice for granted. To do our part as a non super and live our lives, even if it sucks and we are suffering.

I never knew this was originally a comic book. I remember seeing a animated short and it's nearly identical to this comic book story the only real difference is in the animated short the pro from what I remember got her superpowers from giving some superhero a oral experience and his supersede turned her into a superhero I forget if it was she got mounted or gave the guy oral but you get my point. In the end of the story was almost identical to this. In the end of the story she was giving the Superman knock off a oral adventure and when he has his finish his load Jackson Pollock causes a plane crash and from what I remember the rest of the story of the cartoon she gets kicked out of the knockoff Justice League I don't remember there being the part about the bomb and the girl blowing up in space as part of the cartoon it was a short little five or eight minute bit I think that aired on a British comedy series or something like that that was made up of comedic shorts. I'm trying to understand why anybody would be complaining about her massage is being too fast lol.if it is quick and good you've got nothing to complain about LOL. Stories I could tell people who literally don't realize that working girls are people too. I've seen people who are working that particular profession be more human than the people who look down on them if that makes any sense. Literally had something that came full circle several years ago wear a Working Girl thought I was homeless due to the way I dress when I'm out working.the majority of work that I do involves me working crap hours and basically looking like somebody that's homeless. I'm usually living in my vehicle four and five days a week which doesn't help matters any LOL. She thought I was homeless and kept trying to get me a room in the boarding house that she was at even tried to get me to stay on the couch. I ended up having to break down and get out my driver's license and show her that I lived in a place a couple hundred miles from there. Ended up running into her nearly a year later where there was an incident during a blizzard of a woman in the middle of the street around 15 or 20 below zero wearing a pair of sneakers and a homemade flower print dress she was standing in the middle of the street trying to flag down a cop car and the cop drove around her like garbage in the street followed by several other vehicles. All I seen was a woman in the middle of the street during a blizzard basically the next best thing to being naked.i pulled around and came back got her in the van and I had a couple of old jackets in the back of the van and a blanket. I thought I was going to have to take her to the emergency room due to exposure and about three or four minutes down the road she recognized me as the guy that she mistook for being homeless like a year or so prior and by that point I had started to recognize her. Cop refused to even stop and drove around her like a piece of garbage in the street because she was a local known Working Girl. it wasn't the first time one of the local working girls which took me for being homeless and tried to help.i had the same thing happen at least one other time besides with her and to make things worse the other person was a hardcore drug addict. You know how bad it makes somebody like me feel when both these individuals behaved more human than the people who wouldn't spit on them if they were on fire quite literally. The other person I'm talking about I lost track of how many times she asked if I wanted to sleep on her couch where we kept running into each other randomly over the span of a year or a year and a half. At one point I even ended up giving her a ride to a homeless shelter at 2:00 in the morning where she had an incident where she was on the street for several days and I only found out by accident. She lost the keys for her apartment her purse and her phone and the building manager wouldn't let her back in the apartment. The whole incident turned out to be her keys phone and everything was in her purse on the kitchen table. She never thought to get a hold of her social worker about the issue if that makes any sense. She went through a phone book from a pay phone and found the phone number for a homeless shelter once I got her in the shelter they got a hold of her caseworker during the daytime which is something I thought she would have done in the first place where her apartment was being paid for by the government. It wasn't the first time this guy had screwed around with somebody being locked out and the guy just didn't want to let them back in being a prick. This time around the building manager superintendent whatever you want to call it ended up getting in crap for it. She thought she had left her purse on the bus and the whole time it turned out she forgotten her purse with her phone in it in the apartment. I think she'd been on the datet I'm one of those guys that a woman is completely not interested in them unless they're getting something out of it financially speaking! Usually people that can tolerate my presence socially have a whole Cornucopia of disorders and I've had learned to accept that and navigate accordingly.so I've seen so many people that feel they're on the moral High Ground and seen them basically metaphorically speaking take a whiz on anybody they think is below them and at the same time they think they're better than that person because of their own moral views. The fact this was actually a comic book give him the cartoon I seen a long time ago makes my head spin I didn't realize the cartoon was based on a comic strip.

Great satire from Ennis, and he has a point too. Even in the comic industry, there are people who personally I thought were indie comic's "heroes", but screws talents out of their contract. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look up the character, Angela by Neil Gaiman. If an individual or organization is making superhero comics, personally I think they should uphold the morals of their characters, or the word "hero" means nothing!

garth ennis writes one dimensional characters so tbh his hate for super heroes is kinda un warranted since he just writes them worse then the actual comics write their heroes
