I'm older and when I look back on my life I'm disappointed that I gave into the pressure to do dull work, chase security and for the most part, set the creative life on the curb. Life goes by quickly. What time is left will be spent doing the important things and that means being creative and giving out my musical art. And it's interesting that the places in my past where I was very successful involved a lot of creation. These are also times remembered with fondness. On a different note, hearing you sing in your flat got me thinking I would really like to hear your music in a more studio like setting.

in my opinion, the uncertainty of busking is what makes it enjoyable, but at the same time the worst thing about it, like if you go to a new place or find a new spot or meet new people, but it can really suck when your sick, the weather is bad or you encounter rude people. and ecpesially when your allready anxious about how people will react. but overall the good times will always outweigh the bad and I hope your feeling better. your positivity is just infectious and your content is amazing. keep it up :)

This is such a good video! I'm 15 right now started my busking journey a year ago, and have loved every moment of it. However my parents continuously disuade me from busking full time. They say that it is too unpredictable and it would be better to get a stable income and do busking like once a week as a hobby. I understand their concern and I think about the possibility that I will just not make enough to have a proper living.

Thank you, you have a very endearing personality and it makes me want to watch more of your content :) I’ve been busking full time and travelling around Italy for 3 months now (tap dancing). I was doing it at the weekend back in France, and decided to leave my flat and set off. The uncertainty factor is huge yes, but so are the magical moments. Thanks for highlighting the importance of taking care of ourselves, it truly is paramount. For me it means not feeling guilty about taking a few days off to rest in the lead up to my periods (the joys of being a woman😅), getting some regular massages (Im putting 10% of my earnings in a massage jar, not to be used for anything else), not feeling guilty about spending money to go to jazz clubs (nourishes me and my art), listening to my body and stopping before I hurt myself. If you truly believe everything always works out, like you do, it will. ‘Uncertainty is a feeling’, thanks for that ❤ Best of luck and I look forward to watching more of your videos. Sending love from Rome! :)

Hey, thanks for that video. I know exactly what you're talking about. I'm a fulltime busker myself. In my case i chose this lifestyle BECAUSE of the uncertainty. I love the uncertainty. It vitalizes me. Before i was teaching guitar and i had my monthly income and it was soooooo boooooooring. I said i have to change something. Now my life is an adventure and that's the way i like it. I organized it though, so i don't get a victim of the uncertainty. I made myself a list of rainplaces and sunplaces so that i have no excuse when i wake up in the morning and outside it's raining. I just look on my list where to go today. Same if the sun is shining and a place is occupied by another busker. I just look at my sunplaces list for the next place nearby. I also wrote down, since 2019, every place i played, at which time, which day in the week and how much money i made. Now i can see, factbased, which place gives me the most money at which time and which day of the week and don't have to depend on my feeling. It's so much fun for me to organize it. I have a question: I saw you use the Zettle card reader. I bought it too. How do you make it? Do you define a product that costs 2,22 ? And when somebody paid, do you have to go to your Zettle reader and put another product in the basket? Just wondering. I also use paypal with a big QR Code in my guitarcase. And the people are using it. Keep on shining ( you crazy diamond 🙂 ).
@AugustRadioProject Жыл бұрын
I love this and I have agree with you - it's the uncertainty that gives it the thrill and makes it a life of adventure! I think that's something worth highlighting for when the uncertainty feels a little overwhelming in a more negative way. So thank you for sharing!! 😃 I also keep things organised in much the same way. I love the idea of a rainplace and sunplace list - I might have to use this too! As for the Zettle. You need to email them asking for the ''repeat pay function', they have to apply it via there end. Once they've done that, you open the app and create a product for however much you want your tip to be. When you click to set this up on the reader itself you click 'repeat pay' which means it just stays on the entire time... if someone taps, it reloads the transaction and is ready to go 🙌 I hope that makes sense! Happy busking and maybe see you out in the wild one day! ✌

Another excellent video ARP. Sometimes people need a little push to leave their security (standard jobs) and pursue their dreams (freedom). It's important to have support from friends, family, partners and... incentive! Thanks for doing that. I once watch a presentation from Robert Kiyosaki about Freedom vs Security and that made me leave my "confort zone" and decide to work for myself. It's never guaranteed, full of uncertainties but it gives us unique feelings, the feeling of "ownership" of your life, the feeling of "really living" and not just surviving life. What you do is AWESOME! Regarding the community here, it's the best one on YT. It's your mirror, you made this, you attracted that. Good people attracts good people and awesome people attracts just RAD people!!! I've worked in the building trade, worked in factories, worked in retail etc and none of them come close to the life of being a musician. Yes the money's been better in some of these other jobs but the freedom and the pleasure to be creative is just not there. I'm autistic so it's always been difficult for me to settle down in a 9 to 5 🤮. It felt like my creative side was being crushed and taken away. You have inspired me to carry on doing what I do on times where I'm tempted to look for other jobs (which may leave only the weekend for this). What I do may seem less usual for busking in that I play and sing to my own tracks becuase its what I feel capable of. Some have really enjoyed but have to remember you can't please everyone, and keep positve self talk, like you. I think I need to travel a bit more and do more hours to get the most out of it. I do relate to the feeling when you can't, or sometimes if I wasn't brave enough that day/it got late. Its like when busking is currently the main way you get the feeling rather than being big on streaming or being generally well known you have to keep up the busking to keep up the feeling to a degree ha.
@AugustRadioProject Жыл бұрын
That temptation comes on every now and then. Hi I started watching this video today and i was really thinking about how you were filming yourself - You are a creative chap and you have creative ideas about creating your videos, Anyway while i watching the video i thought how it would be cool to meet you someday and suck up some of your positivity, and you replied to a comment i made yesterday.. So my question is because i subscribed to your channel ,are you able to spy on me? Just Joking .Have a great day 😀

I appreciate it 😃🙌🏻 trying to improve with every video! Busking and music definitely has sent me on a few journeys already so if I happen to be passing through then feel free to come and watch! 😎 always happy to chat too! No spying though 👀 😂
