These two have the best KZbin pages in my opinion. So glad they have not given up vlogging like so many families have or cut their content by 90% like others. I for one appreciate their work a lot. They do so much already which must be hard work getting out and are now giving us more. These two are super heros, their content helps so many with their mental health in these times, bring laughter, light to so many. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Bravo.

I think “hate” has almost become a hobby. Years ago someone was complaining about a blogger on a forum for weight watchers and they linked a gossip forum. That’s when I discovered the forums. I won’t name them but we all know them. Oddly enough I found most of the Vloggers I love through there! I think both of you are genuine and that makes people uncomfortable. Because a lot of people can’t accept themselves. I put my name on everything. Johanna Pascuzzo - USA 😀

Don’t know if you guys saw last month an influencer here in Ireland won a court case to get the name behind a troll account so she can lodge either civil suit or a criminal case after there was such horrible trolling from her husbands death. I actually hadn’t heard of her until the case made twitter but imagine trolling a young mum because she lost her husband! Can’t wait to see how many people realize how hurtful words can be when they can be tracked to what they put out there

I agree with the sentiment. I think for the pandemic it's because a lot of countries are in a state of emergency which allows for emergency policies to be put in place that don't require the same amount of layers of approvals. I agree that online bullying needs to be taken more seriously, so many adverse effects that take longer to show the impact. :(

I think it’s because it’s so hard to police! Places like Twitter and Instagram don’t want to conform to proposed rules because sadly the trolls using their accounts give them money... 😭 Also, as social media sites/websites span across countries, all countries would have to be on the same page!

I started watching y’all my freshman year of college and it became part of my routine to come back to my dorm and watch and eat lunch before my next class. Your relationship is just like my boyfriend and I , we’ve been together 7 years known each other 10 and we’re best friends before anything. I just LOVE how genuine and consistent you’ve stayed over the years and it always frustrates me to see trolls say BS/their own narrative about you or anyone really. I have a bad habit of talking back to trolls but from now on I’m going to try to just tell them to have a better day with possibly a sarcastic emoji lol. They don’t deserve the attention tbh they need to find it in a more positive way. Love from Texas! - Haley :)
@savvyfeminist4700
@savvyfeminist4700 4 жыл бұрын
The strength of your relationship is what has sustained you this far. Nothing can come between you two and it’s amazing the things you can go through and accomplish when you stick together. As for the trolls a celebrity once said it’s their job to troll. Their job satisfaction is getting a reaction, it’s their pleasure to know they got to you, reaped you to shreds , are making your life miserable. There is no reasoning with them, I don’t even want to understand how they think. I just feel they are toxic and wouldn’t want that around me even to explain why they do what they do. The online world is like an extension of your home. The reality is you wouldn’t open the do to someone who is nasty and saying mean things. Block and block some more. They do need to be held accountable for their actions. Making someone feel miserable, harassed, anxious or suicidal. Online bullying is never acceptable.

This was so insightful. It’s so easy for people to say “oh just ignore them” - when the onus shouldn’t be put on creators to “ignore”. (And come on, we’re all human, it’s so difficult to “just ignore”!) It needs to be on social media platforms and their policies in how they tackle online hate speech. Being a creator shouldn’t naturally come with the “responsibility” of having to take on hate from other people, despite the privilege, position of influence that creators are in. The two don’t go hand in hand! This was super interesting and I bloody love you two! 💛💛💛

I think you said a great message, not everyone who is being bullied or trolled on line has someone on their side, it's disgraceful and people who troll should be ashamed of themselves. There should be harsher punishment legally for trolls as they can drastically impact someone's life so negatively. I feel sorry for trolls, I think they are sad, lonely people who have nothing better to do. I think it would really help if we all had to have verified accounts with our names and pictures so that we could be held accountable if need be. I think you bring so many people so much joy and happiness. I know I look forward to your vlogs and think you're awesome parents, dog parents and people in general. I have learned so much from Anna.

It’s truly incredible that after all these years of trolling you guys remain so ‘normal’ and grounded. Your honest discussions are so refreshing, though at the same time shocking in their candour (in a good way!). I honestly think if I’d followed your career path, I’d be hesitant to voice any opinion never mind share my everyday life. And yet your everyday life remains, to my mind, absolutely normal. Ok, six dogs is unusual, but all treated as the individuals that they clearly are (and interestingly probably quite evident from their puppy days) and undoubtedly cared for and loved. Your beautiful four children are fabulous in their own different ways, their sense of individuality encouraged through your nurturing parenting style and we are very lucky to follow their journey through life, for as long as they are willing to share it. Trolls I just do not understand. The airport exchange just proves that, at least a proportion of them must surely be ashamed of what they have been doing. And how bizarre to dedicate so much of their time to something for which they apparently hold no regard. I just don’t get it. Your observation, Jonathon, about perhaps receiving negative attention when someone engages with a troll perhaps explains it to some extent. However, for that very reason, tempting though I’m sure it must be, I’d rather no one engaged with the trolls, attempted to persuade them to a different way of thinking, etc, because it surely simply encourages the behaviour in the long run. Maybe if you’re going to have troll guests, perhaps only choose someone who is absolutely reformed and no longer engaging in that activity, eg airport lady if she’d be brave enough. Although I’m somewhat late to the party, as it were, clearly you have amassed a huge following of dedicated fans and I feel like it’s more fair to engage with them than with the ones who have caused intense pain and hurt over time. Clearly, we know what would make for fascinating viewing, but is it worth promoting them? Much too long a comment! Loving the format. xx

This is so awesome to see you both so honest about such a hard topic. You can feel how genuine you are... & you always have been!! I think there’s two sides to anyone, just positivity(good) and negativity(bad). Everyone is different and the way they handle something varies bc of so many different reasons. Sometimes negativity can consume you and the only way they think they can feel better is to put someone down(an immature view point but valid). I know I’ve watched you guys for man, like 8 years and you have always been an “ideal” family. What you put out into the universe is so positive and happy, which is a GREAT thing, & you have gotten a lot of people through a lot of hard times with that attitude. But I would be lying if I said I never thought “man I wish my dad was like Jonathan, or WOW Anna is so great with her kids and caring I wish my mom was more like that” and those thoughts made me feel angry and sad about my own life sometimes. Which is kind of what happens when you’re putting yourself out there for everyone to see parts of your life, you know when people are so invested in you and they see you every day so happy, you wonder well I must not be doing things right because here are these real people who are just happy all the time... I know that’s a misconception because your not, but the reality is your audience is believing that because that’s what you portray. Especially the younger minded ones, I can say it took a lot of growing for me to 1. Not be so invested in other people in general & 2. To work through those negative feelings about myself and my family and just “grow up”... I could never make those kind of decisions day to day about what to show what not to show, that kind of pressure on your platform is unimaginable to me. Lol, So I can see some of your side too, it’s just I think that when your in it, it’s hard to understand maybe how others would see it and of course you do what’s best for you and your family... any normal person puts walls up when your attacked or you fight... I personally wish more KZbinrs were real about their lives, because the tough stuff is what can make you more relatable. But also, staying positive is the best way to make it through life in my opinion. Such an interesting conversation, I wish the podcast was longer!! Hahah, you guys are the best!!! Amazing job!!! Lots of love from Florida ❤️❤️❤️

It saddens me to know everything that has been said about your beautiful family 😢 people have zero remorse for treating people in such a cruel way. I’m not going to say I relate, because it sounds like you’ve had it so bad. But I understand, I had my first baby at 19 whilst all of my friends were at uni and enjoying the teen life. They started to push me out a lot because I went down a different path to them to have my baby. Then when I was 21, my son was diagnosed with autism and a handful of other disabilities and these (now ex friends) created horrible Facebook pages mocking my son and accusing me of being the reason he has these diagnosis’. I remember how low it made me feel, not only as a new and young mum, but being told all of these things about my boy and being told it was all my fault by people I used to be friends with was just awful. To hear Anna talk about how she felt after Emilia’s birth broke my heart, because those were the times where both Anna and Emilia saved my life. It just shows that we have no idea how other people are feeling so always be kind.😘x

Well said Lyza and I am so sorry you went thru this. Any form of hate like that is horrific. They had no right to treat you that way. I heard a fantastic quote “experience is a brutal teacher but you learn, my god you learn” by CS Lewis. Mum always said pain makes you who you are but some pain is just not fair. Keep being the beautiful human you sound you are. Sending so much love and strength Leisa Western Australia xxx

I think you guys handle hate really well,I just couldnt do it myself especially if its stuff about my kids! You definitely need thick skin in the industry you are in,but i think you understand why haters do hate on you and understand how they think to an extent which also helps. Great vid 👍🏼

I worked with a guy who was quite open about trolling celebrities on Twitter - he didn't do it to be horrible but because he thought it was funny and enjoyed the backlash from other fans who would get into an argument with him about what he had written. He just had no idea that his words could cause real damage to someone but he was (in my opinion) a nice guy in real life. Anyway, very interesting topic and I personally cringe every time I see someone jump on your parenting as it makes me wonder what people would say about mine if I was in the public eye!!

I've been watching you both for 10years. When you had Emilia I was just out of highschool watching the vlogs and when I had my first baby in 2018 I went back and rewatched those vlogs and applied the way you did things with Emilia (feeding etc) with my own baby. Until now I thought you had all down pat and were doing an amazing job, I had no idea you had post natal and now love you guys even more because I had post natal as well

I absolutely love these!!!! I love that you guys are talking about things that are going on today but also what has happened in the past. I would love to hear more about how Jonathan dealt with his depression and anxiety because I know that was something that was happening and I would just like to know how he over came that as someone who personally has depression and is still in the process of overcoming it

Such an interesting topic! I hate seeing all the hate youtubers/influencers get online..I sometimes think the world has gone mad! Seems more negative then positive nowadays. I can only think it's something to do with the jealousy that some people have made alot of money through videos/social media and it makes people bitter because they are not making much money working many hours. I'm not saying it's an excuse atall but I am just trying to understand where all the anger comes from. Love the new channel :)

I’ve been here since Emilia was just born. I used to watch another KZbinr couple who were having their first baby and she said our sweet friends just had their baby girl, you should go check them out....which was y’all (I also went back and caught up on everything leading up to that too) lol So I’ve been around a while and I’ve watched you two go thru the trolling (can’t believe I missed and have never actually even heard about “Albi-gate” lol). I know being an older mom I’ve felt VERY protective of y’all because I knew exactly how hard raising little ones was and I couldn’t imagine doing it so publicly where parts of the public felt like it was their job to be nasty to you about literally everything under the sun. It was, and still is mind blowing how much “hate” y’all got over the silliest stuff. For instance...not holding the babies heads “right”.... it was CRAZY. I commented on a persons comment about it saying....yeah cuz remember that time Emilia’s head fell off and y’all had to go have it put back on. They literally commented back asking...what video was that in, I think I must have missed it. I laughed so hard I cried, how insane was it to be making such nasty comments and be so caught up in it that they didn’t process what I said they just wanted to know which video so they could go see the “bad” about y’all?!?! 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m so so so thankful that you two were strong enough to not only handle it but you also haven’t let it make you become bitter. I’m thankful that you’ve been able to turn to one another when the going got tough....cuz lord knows it has gotten ugly at times. I’m thankful y’all didn’t let it run you off of the platform....but most of all...I’m so thankful to see y’all being successful and happy! Thats life’s best “revenge”.....to be happy in spite of everything! I love me some y’all!!! 🥰🥰

Very interesting! I think that trolls become overly invested when they begin watching the vlogs, suspend reality by immersing themselves in your world and when their narrative deviates from yours they react with anger. People bring their own story to what they read and watch and look for connections to the vlogs. Unhappy people will always troll. Just a thought.

Maybe instead if trying to find a troll and exposing them you could bring on a psychologist to hear why some people resort to this and maybe some mental health resources. I've heard from reformed bullies that that is their coping mechanism, a way for them to find control when they dont otherwise have stability. Maybe this would help someone find way to redirect their emotions in a healthier way

YOU CAN'T FIGHT WITH CRAZY! LOL. VERY TRUE ANNA! COULD YOU GUYS DO A VIDEO ON HOW CORONA IS AFFECTING YOU AND YOUR FAMILY? I'm finding it very difficult to be creative and produce any kind of video at the moment as I think the pandemic and not having seen my family for 8 months is taking it's toll. But you guys seem really upbeat like you are dealing with everything so well. I would love some tips on how to deal with it as well as you seem to be doing! XXX
