As an educated girl myself, and perhaps a covert feminist that believes equality between men and women in the workplace and opportunities, I have come to realise this shouldn’t be the case. This lecture was good putting my thoughts of women being breadwinners and ‘successful’ with whatever that means, and working while kids could be looked after by family and she chases after her dreams. The reality is that there are very big differences between men and women that will never be resolved because of our very nature. It is scary to think that society would otherwise look after my children if I didn’t. That the likes of lgbtq or lack of Islamic values or brainwashing on various matters could get hold of my children would mean I’d failed miserably as a mum, the most important job a woman will ever have is she chooses to become one. I’m single and don’t have children, but slowly my mindset is shifting in this sense from someone is a careerist to now realising the realities of life. You know many male consultant doctors would tell me to stick to a 9-5 job because that’s what their wives did, and while I don’t want old men to decide my future and limit my capabilities, I understand there will come a time and place where that may be the only option or in fact none at all in order to put 100% time and effort into them. I was expecting less from this lecture but honestly I really liked his view points and certainly want to hear more.

Actually having children most definitely means that women have to make sacrifices. If you are still chasing your dreams it often comes at a cost with the children.

@Richard Wagner , the feminist movement was women fighting to exercise the RIGHTS that were given to them by Allah, SWT. Think about it. What were they fighting for? The RIGHT to education, the right to vote, the right to own property, the right to have their own money, the right to choose whom they marry, the right to have rape and domestic violence to be taken seriously. Allah, gave women these rights. You do, realize, don't you, that in Islam, women keep their last names when they marry, right? This is nothing new. You DO realize, that Khadijah (RA) was a business woman running her own businesses and making her own money, right? If you bother to read Surah Al Anisa, In shaa Allah, you will see that Allah, Subhana wa T'ala GAVE women rights that men refused to let them practice. Men were the oppressors, going against what Allah had given. Allah does NOT like oppression nor the people who oppress. There would have been no need for a feminist movement if there were no CHAUVENISM. FEAR ALLAH!

We need more knowledge on feminism as our young sisters do not know anything about their rights in Islam and so are brainwashed into believing that only the west and a western lifestyle can give them their rights. Also, brothers would benefit greatly in knowing the rights of women as in today's age, the Muslim man very commonly treats the women in his house more like slaves! Red pill is all about the reality of society against ignorance. For example what is wrong by saying that the court system awards women when they break their marriages even on false allegations? What is wrong when the red pill mentions hypergamy? What is wrong when men tell other men to self improve by making money, going to the gym etc

red pills is not a ideology. Feminism is a ideology many Muslim woman with their emotions deny Quranic verse and Hadith which is the extreme, and can lead to disbelieve. We can take the good from red pill and leave the bad. Understanding gender dynamics, and society being harder for men in some areas, the double standards, and the sexism. Red pill is also using studies and statistics to support their opinions.

When we think we can argue the rules Allah set us as a society we will end up more confusion and unhappy. I wish I had a woman role and had a husband who take care of my needs. However, I raised my girls and work with men dominated job, yet I am still a woman and mother who respect the rights men. Feminism is a cult and cancer. We muslim women should not give thoughts what makes us kufur. But I believe some women been oppressed by men who don’t fair of Allah. If men play their role, I don’t think we should have this topic too. May Allah guide us all. 🙏

So don’t worry about it so much right now and keep your mind open, please keep studying, keep your career goals, and of course keep praying that Allah guides you throughout. If you eventually want to be a housewife, that’s fine. But have a back up and I’d advise to have some money saved up. Again, you’re so young, so try not to stress about it so much. Just keep studying both the deen and an education that could get you a halal income.

I will grant him thta respect. In our lands based upon our levle of knowledge you are certainly a scholar. So, since Alim mya seem to high for the hearts I'll settle on calling you a Shaykh. Salam! What they said was "the woman was BURNED after her husband's death". I hinduism, if a man dies, they used to burn the man's wife in a fire so she can go with him, as she has nothing left for her in this life. Basically saying that "a woman was nothing without her husband". Salam!

I think there are women, myself included, that have taken Islam into their hearts and accepted Allah yet still want to understand why men have changed and misinterpreted what Allah has said and used things like “2 women to 1 man” as the reason why women are “less than”. I wish there was a whole lecture or serious on this topic. Perhaps there would have been no need for a movement like feminism if men wouldn’t have put their foot on the necks of women thru out history. Feminism is the reaction. Not the cause.

That's not a right justification, in fact there isn't any justification for it. Relating the movement to the oppression of the muslim men when the reason of this movement has nothing to do with muslim men misinterpreting the hadith is wrong. The origin of feminism must be kept in mind. Feminism as it's currently defined has no justification whatsoever. And that's not even an analysis that you've given. It's just based on personal experience perhaps. A mother is the very first teacher of a newborn. It all comes down to the responsibilities of the parents. If you raise them upon Deen, you won't see such men in the society. If someone doesn't live according to the Deen then they're only going to fill the society with degenerates. The women who want guidance are guided the ones who don't are not guided. Only Allah gives Hidayah. Women are quite ungrateful as well. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority of its dwellers were women who were ungrateful." It was asked, "Do they disbelieve in Allah?" (or are they ungrateful to Allah?) He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and are ungrateful for the favors and the good (charitable deeds) done to them. If you have always been good (benevolent) to one of them and then she sees something in you (not of her liking), she will say, 'I have never received any good from you." Sahih Bukhari 29

If women and men were equal then there was no reason for needing two women against the testimony of one man. Think, humble yourself and submit to the will of all, stop using your own bias and feelings to justify feminism.

@@mr.lastchance Allah knows whats in the hearts of people. Perhaps Allahs making women have a more emotional nature and risking a higher influence of shaytaan when not praying (mensus) could be the reason for this decree of needing 2 women while only needing 1 man. It's not about equality rather equity.. a man is never like a woman and a woman is never like a man. We different roles. We can't replace each other.. let's respect that and be happy in that. At the end of the day.. DEATH is the final destination.. this life is but a test.. whenever shytan whispers all the feminist ideas etc. Remind yourself that Allah is All - Wise..HE created your brain..HE taught you left from right so how do you judge HIM with your human brain? My dear Sister in islam, i really liked when u said u have taken islam into ur heart but also understand that Allah’s every command for us is for our our benefit.. he is the creator and he knows the best how he created men and women and that is why when islam says men and women are not equal then we have to submit to his command and our Allah knows the best how he has created us.. being a women i myself submit to my Allah’s command and plan.. we can always be better than any men or women in taqwa .. in that , Allah has not given priority to any gender.. don’t compare and compete in things that are not meant for us to compare.. as our knowledge has limits and Allah’s knowledge has no limit.. he has already decided what is best for men and women.. let us submit to our lord..❤

Salam Shiekh great speech as always mashallah. Also great lecture amazing points just a kind word of advice it's stuffed up saying what is wrong with being a breeding machine. Sorry sheikh but no. I understand you are saying equity over equality which I agree with and all your points were valid. However a breeding machine is again saying women are only their organs. You could have worded it better in my opinion as motherhood and nations. Especially as not all women can give birth or wish to which although i disagree with i can still respect. I understand you did not mean it like that and I understand you were coming more from a "there is nothing wrong with being a woman who gives birth" but with the machine part it comes off as so wronf. Just don't want your words being taken for a run by some dodgy media outlet.

Yeah, I think he just said that because he wanted to quickly end the lecture. I think he pretty much meant is what's wrong with giving birth to children? Lol. Majority of mothers will tell you that their kids is the best thing that has happened to them. I personally always appreciate hearing my mother tell me that at least. It puts a smile on my face and encourage me to work harder to make her proud.

As salam o alaykum wrwbt & JAZAKALLAH Kheyr, only ALLAH swt knows best but the Ummah has confused ISLAMIC EDUCATION for women (which ALLAH swt ordained) with Secular Education, the parents are sending daughters in FREE MIX education, where they Hygienically clean them from any Islam/Deen & this is why/how our Muslim women are becoming feminist as well as they do NOT want to get married and even a marriage takes place, they are NOT lasting, divorces are very common now a days because what they learn from Schools/Collage & Uni is ME, MY SELF AND I. May ALLAH swt give us the ability to hold on to his rope, learn & practice this beautiful DEEN, Ameen ya RUB

I would disagree. A lot of people have a misconception about feminism being hate towards men, when rather they just want to exercise equal rights for women which are often still not given to them in many countries. Misogyny however is often targeted at feminists, because seeing women trying to gain basic rights being seems to be a problem for many men.

Yes, feminism is probably more compatible with Hinduism, which is why India has the highest cuckoldry rate in the world and the men tend to be quite feminine and dossile. Add to that, Hindus worship women whereas Islam in inherently patriarchal and this is why the men in Islamic cultures tend to be quite masculine

However, have you stopped for a second to consider how Muslim men TODAY think of Muslim women? I promise you some of them think they are less than a man SubhanaAllah and in the eyes of Allah we are equal. I appreciate you giving us history to show us why we don't need feminism but please address the problems at home. JazakAllah khayr

Asalaamu Alaikum! The feminist movement in the west was nothing more than women FIGHTING for the RIGHT to Practice the RIGHTS GIVEN TO WOMEN BY ALLAH Subhana wa T'ala. If these rights were not denied by MEN, there would have been no need for a feminist movement. Men were the oppressors. Allah, NEVER SAID that the ONLY thing women should do is cook, clean and breed. This is something perpetuated by society. Khadijah (RA) first wife of Muhammad (SAW) was a business woman.

The goal of feminism as it is in the Western world, is to destroy male-female relationships, to make women believe that they are equal to men when it is a lie, men and women are different, those who are behind all this, are soldiers of Dajjal, they also promote homosexuality and want to destroy the family.
