The thing is, Normal and Elite are very forgiving in terms of what you can build. The game can screw you over with RNG, it'll still be pretty hard to actually be in a spot where you can't play at all. Nightmare is where it starts to be actually very build reliant, getting the right goblets and scrolls... and also Aura Diffusions. Reincarnation... well, reincarnation, let's just say that they have overtuned spiritual remnants so much that it has almost become a joke. When they released reincarnation difficulty, that was when it was actually pretty challenging. Now that they've also introduced Lone Wolf to give solos a bit more of a challenge, giving you the ability to select a 4th Spiritual remnant at the start just makes it way too easy, (you can of course decide not to take one though). Just the other day, had a run with Qing Yan where i started with Bladed Cleave and rerolled until i got Skill Freak. Needless to say, as long as i had max Feathers, every secondary was dealing around 10k, which is basically one shotting every enemy early on.

That seems to align with a lot of what I hear from other people. Best thing to tell you is keep at it and you'll get through! It's a roguelike, so you might get a really OP run and break through before having to get close to maxxing out your tree. You can do it! 💜

Yeah, which is why Spirit Feline is a god tier scroll tbh, but getting it is another story. The +100% damage taken doesn't even matter in the end, cause almost every thing deals like 30-80% of your health depending on the enemy.

Talking about coop. 3 player coop is prolly the hardest one. Tbh that's not problem only in Gunfire Reborn (same goes for RoR2) From experience the difficulty goes something like this: Duo>Quad>Solo>Trio (from easiest to hardest)

To be a little honest here. The problem with video games is: the more you play and unlock abilities, the easier the game gets, even if you ramp up the difficulty. I would love to see a game that does the reverse. Gimp abilities or remove them to get the player ro rely on their own skill. Like how they do in the Elden Rings mods.

I think most people enjoy the idea of progression and growing stronger. Systems that limit your abilities over time can be a turn-off to players and make them seek avoiding progression so that they can remain more powerful. While it can certainly be done, I feel like it would be hard to pull off in a rogue-like.

Gunfire reborn has literal and actual stolen assets from blizzard. Stare at the heavy characters and roadhogs idle animation. Or different weapons. Very very few things this game does are completely unique, so it's biggest problem actually is being developed by assets they don't own... but that's just my take I guess

The problem is THAT THE XBOX VERSION IS SO OUT OF DATE I'M NOT EVEN SURE IF THEY HAVE THE ABILITY TO UPDATE IT. I mean the first boss, if it's the big stone golem and you use corrosion on it, 100% of the time it glitches and and you freeze and you die. There's 2 less characters in the Xbox version and who knows how many weapons, scrolls and other enhancements. I mean hell, some of the red treasure boxes are written in Chinese still.
