Went to a tournament up further north in Duluth and shocker, nobody was an asshole. Yugioh has the most bad rep when it comes to player stereotypes because of the loud, smelly, and potentially violent minority from the past 15 years. People have stories of some thing happening with the yugioh community or online(despite the fact the internet has always been a negative wastland since day 1)so they can justify the bias.

I don't see how Zero Paradox is confusing? Even the card text itself makes it very clear what the card does. It may be a lot of text and a rather unusual mechanic, but it's definitely simple to understand and use. In fact, I might even make a deck just for this guy, because I think you could make some funny deck around it.

@@sharpscharnier1905 in the current meta probably unplayable. black white creature decks aren't a thing in slower formats and in faster formats they either don't play enough creatures to make it reliable enough or don't get to 5 mana. 10 years ago it should have been decent in reanimator or might have lead some warrior tribal deck. Decks were way slower back then and removal more restrictive. If we want to design it for current mtg, it would probably lose the exile creature costs, or allow any cards of the appropriate colors, gain some form of protection/hexproof/ward and could exile (non-land) permanents at instant speed. Or add delve and get it banned.

The thing is, Konami stated they were disappointed that Master Duel isn’t bringing people over to paper play. The stuff you learn playing master duel doesn’t translate to either format. Pokémon and Magic both have all the latest cards in their official simulators… what’s Yu-Gi-Oh’s excuse?
