Couple of lads I know saw Rick up in St Andrews when BobDoesSports were over. The info is 3rd party but from guys I trust, but he was allegedly very arrogant, lack of respect, prickly and in my mates words 'someone who's due an ego check'. My only encounter with Rick was at 151 Open, asked for a picture, he'd clearly had a couple of cans, but when we very politely asked for a pic it was a big sigh and an 'If I have to' attitude. He's a big star, probably gets it all the time and it must suck when you just want to enjoy the golf but constantly being asked for pics, but man, remember you came from nothing and youre owed nothing in this life, being polite costs nothing. Side note - Peter Finch, biggest gent Ive ever met from the KZbin golf scene, what a star.

I had a fitting at titleist woburn for wedges and I felt like a tour pro, no rush took all the time I wanted, they made sure I had the best clubs for me

I think there was more going on at the time they filmed that video as suddenly for the next 2 weeks after it coming out, Rick was suddenly away on holiday. Hence the other lads had to do the podcasts. It's never been mentioned again and I think it's because he recognises he made himself look a dick. I would be asking the rest of the crew? Why/How did the vid manage to get posted? On another note, I have met both Rick & G and they were both really nice guys, very good company and not dismissive or rude at all. My personal experiences of Rick are far removed from some of the comments. Got chatting to him on X about a fitting I had booked for the stealth 2 at American Golf and he came down to the store off his own back to watch the fitting and see if I could get the mythical extra 20 yards. He went through my numbers, gave me some tips on my setup and was genuinely a top bloke. Bumped into him a couple of times and he's always come across well.

Some cajones in this podcast, you're not wrong. KZbin golf is about to go mad 😂 I think you hit the nail on the head with youtube golf is in a place where theres not much ground which hasnt been covered. Rick did well as he was pioneering it with production quality etc. But now everyone else is there or there abouts. The most successful channels at the moment are driven by great personalities and social aspects. Forebrothers, golf life, good good, bob does sports. Think Rick is struggling as he genuinely just seems like hes not enjoying golf.

Going on about your tips… I played golf about 10 years ago I was playing twice a week, driving was perfect most holes irons was ok. Iv got back into it the last year/two video comes up on KZbin/tik tok and my head in fried on the course everything is going through my head stood over the ball, driver going left right most of the time I’m hitting like 1 decent drive out 18! Cascade is the hotel literally on the golf course & night golf. There is SO MUCH to do there mate with the kids and family… diving, snorkelling, paintball, go karting, sand buggies and that’s not even scratching the surface. I think the Kepinski is the best hotel we were told. Followed closely by Cascade and some others. But to be closer to the golf Cascade is rhe best option

I got a feeling that the industry has similar feelings towards Rick… after his invite to the creator classic got “lost in the post” My only experience of Rick is meeting him briefly in Rome last year.
