Sam from what I know it’s cause when cats get fixed nerves get cut and if the vets don’t bother to put the nerves together again it just hangs down ( most vets do it also I got this info from my aunt who’s a vet so I think I’m right but could be wrong)

That makes sense Victor. I've seen it happen to older cats immediately after having been neutered or spayed. My memory is poor, but, if I remember rightly, it didn't happen to the young ones, I suspect because their skin was still quite taut.

It's not a side effect of neutering but the pouch may become more prominent after a neuter since they often put on some weight once fixed.

Victor Elliott yeah no offense but I think you’re wrong, I have a cat and I was worried that he may be too thin cuz he had a primordial pouch, so I asked my vet and he said it was fine and that all domesticated should have one, apparently it’s for making sure the cat can fully stretch out when they run and is also used for protection for their abdominal organs if they get into a fight, also google says that these are normal so yeah

The Earth from my research, this is the correct answer! With the extreme flexibility and mobility of cats, they need to have the extra skin there to allow them to have their full range of motion. Without the primordial pouch, there is a high potential of tearing and discomfort, so the pouch is perfectly fine and normal, and is not directly anything that comes from neutering/not neutering

I don't see anything different with cats as wild cats like Lion & Cheetah who live in dry savannah have such short fur whereas the one like Snow Leopard has denser & thicker fur.

네 학대아니예요 장모종은 특히 배부분이 잘 엉키는데 예민해서 빗질을 잘 못해줍니다. 아무리 빗질을 잘해주더라도 털이 엉킵니다. 털이 엉키게되면 그 부위에 피부병이 날 수도있고 아프고 불편하고 가렵고 불편해합니다..그래서 미용은 고양이를 위해서 하는게 맞아요.. 주인이 하고싶은데로가 아니예요 고양이가 스트레스받아하는데도 불구 하고 주인이 굳이 왜 미용을 시키겠나요..

아이가 착해서 잘 받고있는건 아는데 털깎이는것자체가 개나 고양이에게 수치심입니다.특히나 고양이는 더 예민한 동물이구여~ 저의 고양이는 아니니 잘 알아서 하시겠지만 굳이 다 깎아낼것까진 없다는 얘기였어요 특히나 순해서 하악질도 없으니 더 맘이 아팠습니다. 털이있는것엔 다 이유가 있으니깐요.
