The Novitate Conference celebrates the work of French author Rene Girard, and explores the power of his theories in a variety of domains. The conference was founded and built by Luke Burgis, the author of Wanting: The Power of Mimetic Desire in Everyday Life.

I always choke up on the Prodigal story also. The scene from Jesus of Nazareth with Robert Powell always moves me deeply.

I regard them as the last 2 masters of Philosophy that Europe produced. Their impact was absolutely incredible The stuff they write about is RELIGIOUS in nature
