Calling this dance/rave is doing the prodigy a huge disservice. Everything on that album from start to finish transcended dance as a genre. Each song is 3 genres in one. Something many people thought was impossible before Fat of the Land released.

RIP mate. I was here with my partner Alexander Tregoning and he died in August 2018. Blur were on the Pyramid stage if I remember right. I'm Keith's age and have seen them loads, in the early days when raves were fucking mental. I hope I make it through this life as I struggle to. I remember this set really well as I was doing security on the pedestrian gate not far from the stage. They did the closing set and all I remember is the power of the sound and the incredible laser show. Amazing stuff. Michael Jackson died the same weekend and everyone thought it must be a hoaxe. Bruce Springsteen also played this year. It was very hot and dry. Extremely memorable.
