Hey when reducing boominess of a kick using a compressor, could i achieve the same by just cutting the boomy frequencies of a kick in a eq? And why would you chose one over the other? Btw this is a great video! Very clear, thank you!

don't use a compressor on your kick. use EQ when trying to reduce boominess
