I’m always looking for study vlogs to keep me motivated in school and I just want you to know that yours was the one I’ve been so drawn to lately! It’s so realistic, less talking, no BS, and I really relate to it! I also love the clips when you take breaks and always eat. Reminds me to do it for myself and nourish my body cos I tend to forget to eat on time alot.. Love your videos and I just subscribed! ☺️

tbh I forget to eat all the time when I'm really stressed so I'm happy to help 😭😭 it's so important to fuel your body properly bc your brain needs energy to function but in the moment, it always feels like a waste of time 🥴😭 in worst case, you should def get yourself some meal replacement drinks!! take care of yourself 🫶🏻

Hey Eve, would you be down to answer a question? The past weeks have been hectic and I really wanted to know what you would say
@e_velog Жыл бұрын
yes ofc! what's your question??
@Nyoto7 Жыл бұрын
@@e_velog Hey Eve, I hope you’re doing very good and I really thank you for the fast reply! So the past weeks have been hectic in university like I already said since it’s also the first year for me and it’s much harder and faster than highschool. I am behind for almost every classes and I really don’t know what to do. My point is that whenever I try to study any topic, I don’t understand the things right away and it takes a lot of time to understand a little sentence, although it may be possible that I still don’t understand it. This causes a lot of problems too because you need more time. And also, I rely on someone when not understanding something that makes me grab my phone every minute if I don’t understand it and then It completely messes up my approach for that topic. Do you have any advice for this? How do I catch up for all my classes( doing industrial engineering chemistry )? How should I study? What do you do if you don’t understand it? What do you do if you don’t understand it after so many approaches? What should I do for the rely on someone? I hope you can read the message and answer on this, because it has been very hard for me at the moment and I can’t figure it out what I should do . Thank you for everything you do!
@Nyoto7 Жыл бұрын
@@e_velog I hope you didn’t forget about this!
@e_velog Жыл бұрын
here's what I'd do: 1. Make a list of EVERY topic you have to cover for every class 2. Make a list of every problem set/topic for all the classes. 3. Split the topics amongst the remaining weeks of the semester. 4. If you ever fall behind on this schedule, it's fine. Just rearrange the days accordingly. Personally, to avoid context switching, I'd probably do one subject/day, but some people get bored by this and need to switch topic to stay engaged. Do whatever works best for you. Thankfully, you're in engineering, so a lot of the stuff you learn is cumulative. This means that stuff you learn in chapter 1 will be reused in chapter 2, and so on. This is good because you get to indirectly review the topics. Go slowly, and take your time. I'm a slow learner too, and it really sucks. My goal is always to learn the topic correctly the first time, so just like you, I google everything. I like to write down notes so I can organize the info from the readings & my research, but I rarely refer to those notes again. It just helps me to visually see the information being related to one another. Take the time to read your textbook and understand how each problems are solved. Then, move onto solving problems. What's also good about engineering is that most classes will mainly have practical questions in exams. You may have a few knowledge questions, but I don't worry about those. Instead, I focus on understanding the practical aspects of each course since our exams are always at least 60% practical. This means that even if I got every single theoretical question wrong - which never happens because the readings gave me enough knowledge to answer most of them correctly - I'd still pass the exam. Usually, if you rely on external help to solve problems, it means you're missing a piece of info. Find the thing that blocks you and focus on that specific aspect. Research about it & do more practice that address that aspect until you no longer need help. There's not really any other solution since this usually indicates you don't understand the topic enough. So really, take the time to learn each concepts properly and thoroughly before jumping into problem solving!
