Knowing u can't win every time out is the key. No one is perfect. We will all lose. When u win good play speaks for itself. But u also have to know how to lose, meaning how to handle defeat. Be humble...congratulate your opponent. Learn how to give credit when it's due. Don't be a whiner. Show respect. Be classy. Simple! When I learned about losing and how to handle defeat it made me a better player. Basketball is a lot like life...everyone handles winning But losing and failure happens in all things......learning how to handle defeat teaches u how to handle life's journey!

Interesting story. Never really followed the and1 circuit, but being a basketball fan, I've definitely come across some of your videos. I agree with what you said: sometimes you just gotta take the easy jumper or blow by the aggressive guys for the easy lay in to put them in their place. On top of that, chances are that if he gave off a negative vibe he's probably rubbed more than a few people the wrong way; if he's just playing hard, he should have paid you the respect that any competitor deserves from thereon after. It's easy to build a good/bad reputation on the court, and it's just not worth getting into it with sour apples. In addition, some people tend to forget that what you do is a blend of art, sports, and entertainment. Anyway, keep up the great work!

First of all, I am a big fan of the professor. But I think people are over reacting on this one on one game and what the Chinese player "said". I mean, as amazing as professor is, there are many good street players in the world would like to challenge him, this is just natural. The guy of course was not entirely convinced by the defeat because the game was too short and he obviously has ego and would like to have more chances to challenge the professor. I think any baller would understand his position. About what he said, first of all, I did not know what exactly the Chinese player said, sounds to me, it was just 2nd or even 3rd hand information, could be exaggerated. I don't think people should just blindly point fingers to him without knowing exactly what he said. His name is AN YUN PENG, actually he is now one of the top players in a very popular Chinese nation-wide street ball one-on-one tournament. In my opinion he is quiet a skilled player. He might have said something not completely true (although nobody here has really heard what he said, all here are just speculating), but it does not shadow the fact that he can play. The one on one game with professor was too short and obviously he did not think that he got enough time to show off his true skills. So may he should get another chance to have a one on one session with the professor? Many of the players in this on-going tournament "king of the underdogs" are actually quiet good, maybe the professor should pay them a visit? All in all, this is street ball, we should use a real game to show the fact, not just talking, right? one of AN's highlight videos can be seen here, just that if anyone is interested. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mGPGk6lpfLWrhLc

That doesn't make any sense at all. So, if I play against you, I should not be serious and not use my full power? I'll just, like what you mentioned in this video, play "to entertain" while you (professor) on the other hand kicking my butt and making highlights? It's once in a lifetime experience. And that once in a lifetime experience (against Professor) would be quick since you don't do rematches. Once you (professor) got the ball, it's over. Your opponent won't have another opportunity for a ball possession. The only time you did a video rematch is when a local beat you while you're in a spider costume. You beaten him on the rematch when you took off your mask. That's the guy's once in a lifetime experience with you. People know you're that good. So, from time to time, strangers playing aggressive against you should not be a surprise. It's cool that you can do what you love, travel and meet people. But there would be a time you would grow old, you would have to settle down; and you're going to interact with the same people over and over (because you love to play basketball). Then, on that time, boy, you can't just say you don't want a rematch. New generations gonna come up to you and they don't know who is this "Professor." Young kids don't even know Jason Kidd or Jason Williams nowadays. But, who knows. You probably gonna say, "I'm too old now. I can't play another game (run it back)."

kyoukoujin he had no problem with the guy playing aggressive. His problem was that the guy was on twitter calling him a cheater and putting out that false narrative.
