By the way, the version released in the UK was a truncated version of the film. I got mine from China, with full English subs. for a fraction of the UK DVD price, including postage, with nothing cut out. A beautiful fairytale about the power of love.

Hey thanks for sharing this info, this is really important to know! Because when I first watched it, I enjoyed it but felt frustrated that it was over-edited. A lot of films are like this... I'll definitely go for the proper version now. This music is unbelievably underrated!

The film doesn't need saving, but the music is amazing. My all time favourite Chinese film, and not the truncated western version.
