I'm 10 years old, and a recent revert to Islam. I took the Shahada, and reverted back to Islam. I'm now learning how to pray and do prostration, but a bit hard to memorize. @maxi Khan Don't lie, Imam Bukhari collected hadith from his teachers who learnt from their teachers and that went directly back to the companions of the Prophet pbuh. Also the fact Imam Ahmed Ibn Hanbal who was an Arab from Iraq had his own book of Hadith way before Imam Bukhari wrote his, and Imam Malik from Madina in Arabia had his own collection as well before both of them, all with hadith about the prayer that are either exactly the same or very similar prove the Muslim prayer is from our Prophet Muhammad pbuh.

Please don't make me responsible of any mistakes you make as you prayed according to this summary: Conditions: 1. Wudu or ghusl 2. Face qibla 3. Time of prayer 4. Cover awrah 5. Purity of body clothes and place of prayer 6. Niyyah Pillars (sunnah in bracket) 1. Standing up 2. Takbeer (looking at prostration place)(raising hand (till ear or shoulder) is sunnah before during or after takbeer) (Place right hand over left on navel or chest) (Subhanak allah humma wabi hamdika, tabrak asmuka wataaala jadduka wala ilaha ghairuk(can be skipped)) (Auzubillah and bismillah are sunnah) 3. Surah fatiha(stop after each verse) Aamen (Surah with out stopping) (Reading surah after fatihah is sunnah) 4. Go to ruku DURING takbeer (raising hands now is sunnah) (Finger spread on knees, straight back and normal head loooking between feet and prostration place) 5. Subhana rabbi yal azeem(minimum 1 recomended 3 sky is limit) 6. Sami allah huliman hamida(dont say this if imam says it) Only say rabbana walakal hamd. Or rabbana lakal hamd. (Raising hands again is sunnah) (Then you may say hamdan kaseeran tayyiban mubarakan feeh) (Hands can be on side or folded) 7. Say takbeer while going into sujood. Toes bent towards wiblah hands pointed towards qibla. 7 limbs i.e hands, feets, knees, nose and forhead are one, should be touching ground. Elbows should be spread wide feets shoould be touching. Elbows can be tucked in if there are people. But elbows touching ground is prohibited. Landing first on knees or hands is both permissible. Say subhana rabbi yal aala. One time minimum 3 times recomended sky is limit. 8. Sit up straight, say " rabbighfirli " (1 time minimum sky is limit) right feet erect and left feet laying on ground. Hands between knees and thighs. 9. Get back to sujood (see point no. 7) 10. When standing up for 2nd rakah. It is sunnah to sit for a moment. 11. Some mistakes are not koving the lips, closing you eyes(except in special conditions) and raising your hand like in dua. 12. For tashahud(sitting after 2nd sujood) Say attahiyat with finger pointerd towards qiblah. Move finger little bit. Recomended to not say salawat on prophet pbuh. Then rise for 3rd rakah 13. If it is last rakah. Look at the finger during attahiyat. Say salawata on prophet pbuh. Say any dua. Conclude by zikr. 14. Then salam (dont stop between the two salams) People behind you should see your cheeck Imam should complete salam before you do it 15. Other mistakes include going faster than or equal to imam. You should wait for imam to go to prostration before you start insha allah

Thanks for your videos. This is the video that I was looking for, I've been watching many videos to understand step by step on how to perform salat. I can't even describe the peace and the connection I feel with Allah(God), it's the best feeling in the world. Keep doing research on Islam. There are a couple of youtube channels I recommend to learn Islam from - Saajid Lipham and One Way To Paradise. Both brothers are reverts alhamdulillah. Don't worry about your mum, my mum had a difficult time with be becoming Muslim but she saw the change in me and now loves me being Muslim! She has even left Christianity and is looking into Islam alhamdulillah. Be patient with your mum, Allah will reward you. If you haven't already buy an English translated Quran and there is a book called The Sealed Nectar which is the biography of the Prophet Muhammad sallahu alayhi wa salam. Ive been dealing with a lot of waswasa lately. Very bad thoughts that come the mind but when the shaykh said that "There is no sin on me for what I think" really hit home for me. Sometimes I think I am cursed or something because of the bad thoughts I have when in reality the thoughts are ok and the only sin I get is for the action I do because of them and fighting these thoughts is rewarded.
