Q14:37, Q14:40, Q19:31 etc. tells us that prayer was made obligatory much before the prophet was born which leads me to believe that the prophet prayed before he got prophethood (there are overwhelming historical records to wonclude that not only the prophet but also some sahaba used to pray the correct way before Prophet Muhammad got the prophethood). Since, muslim mullah have hinged all the sunnatullah on the stories of hadith collectors, can we figure out which hadith the prophet followed to pray before the prophethood ? Q4:136 O you who have believed, BELIEVE in Allah and His Messenger and the Book that He sent down upon His Messenger and the SCRIPTURES WHICH HE sent down BEFORE. How do we believe in the scriptures Allah sent down before Quran ? Q4:64 And We did not send any messenger except TO BE OBEYED by permission of Allah >> If one argues that obeying prophet Muhammad is by obeying contradictory sunni / shiit (depending upon which sects / madhab one belongs to) "authentic" hadith books then can we figure out how to obey Moses and Jesus.

A hadith shouldn't be confused with the statements or actions of the prophet. Those who claim hadith to be the words or actions of the prophet run high risk of attributing falsehood to the prophet no matter how nice they sound or appear. Any hadith is actually an alleged saying attributed to the prophet and propagated through a chain of 7-8 narrators over 200 years or more. What we have (for eg. in Bukhari collection) are 7000+ hadith categorized by Bukhari (not by Allah or the prophet) as authentic from a total collection of 700,000 hadith circulating at his time. Hadith are mere hearsay. It is something like A heard from B who heard from C who heard from D....who heard from G who claimed that the prophet said / did so and so. In modern terminology this is called Chinese Whisper, which has no credibility in preserving information. Try circulating a paragraph of text through a chain of 10 narrators and verify for yourself. The methodology that was used to authenticate hadith is called ``Sound chain of narration". In this, the character, sincerity and mental health etc. of narrators in a particular chain was evaluated by hadith compilers several decades / centuries after the narrators had died. This act of character evaluation involved backbiting and slandering which is considered a sin in Islam according to the Quran. The organized slandering and backbiting was conducted at an unprecedented scale in human history. In Quran, Allah tells us that there were hypocrites among the sahaba and the prophet had no idea about them. Ironically, in one hadith prophet is alleged to have said that on the day of judgment some of his companions will be take away from him and Allah will inform about their bad deeds. It is interesting how hadith collectors could evaluate the characters of those narrators who were dead long back and even prophet himself was not aware of their character. The most authentic collections of Bukhari and Muslim do not match 100\% because of personal biases and judgment. These two major collections are rejected by the Shiits sect of Islam as unreliable. Thus is can be said that belief in a certain set of hadith automatically divides the Muslim ummah into at least two distinct sects: Sunni and Shiits. Such sectarian divide is strictly prohibited by Allah. There is a consensus that there is not a single hadith in the entire collection which can be considered a verbatim quotation from the prophet. Just like majority of Jewish, Christian, Hindu scholars can be wrong about the basic of religious beliefs it should not come as a surprise that the majority of Muslim scholars are also wrong. In fact, Quran criticizes those people who follow scholars, ulema blindly and take them as Gods. One can find story tales, blasphemy of the highest order, contradictions, unscientific and illogical stuffs attributed to the prophet. In fact one can use hadith to project the prophet with diametrically extreme and opposite personality characterwise. Most of the abuse that the enemies of Islam hurl upon our prophet has some basis in these hadith collections. Although, the clergymen and hadith followers claim that they let Quran superseded hadith, there are numerous occasions where the verse from the Quran are abrogated by hadith despite a command from Allah that none (including the prophets) can abrogate his verses. I would recommend our hadith worshipping brothers to come out of ignorance and realize the beauty of Quran alone.

God promised to protect the quran for good he did not promise to protect the hadith from curruption . second the prophet said in bukharee dont write anything i say except the quran and if you did erase it its saheeh hadith, the way you follow the prophet is by the things he did infront of groups of people who taught these teachings to the following generation and on.

Quran 46:9 Say, “I am not the first messenger ever sent, nor do I know what will happen to me or you. I only follow what is revealed to me. And I am only sent with a clear warning.” Prophet didn't know all! And what I like to say to help people understand. This (Quran) is not a fabricated hadith, but an authentication of what came before it, a detailed account of all things, and guidance and mercy for people who believe. 12:111 This verse alone shows we shouldn't be believe in any hadith. If God says, the Quran is a DETAILED ACCOUNT OF ALL THINGS, therefore there's no need for hadith. Saying stuff like prayer isn't in the Quran means this verse is false, and cannot be from God because he is the Perfect, Wise. The sole duty of the messenger is the delivery (of God's message). 5:99 This verse shows the sole duty of the prophet Muhammad was to only deliver the Quran. Obey God and obey the messenger. If you turn away then the sole duty of the messenger is the clear delivery (of God's message). 64:12 Now how do you obey the messenger, you listen to the message, which is the QURAN. This verse doesn't mean to follow Bukhari's false book which came much later after the the Prophet had died. If a messenger came to you with a message and you listened, it means your obeying the messenger, if you pushed away the message your disobeying the messenger. It doesn't say obey the PROPHET for a reason. It (Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. Had he (Muhammad) falsely attributed any sayings to Us, We would have grabbed him by the right, and We would have severed his aorta. None of you would be able to prevent it. And indeed, it is a reminder for the reverent. 69:43-48 This verse shows the job of the prophet was not to command any other teachings except the Quran. A Book (Quran) has been brought down to you (O Muhammad), so let there be no constraint in your chest because of it, and so that you may warn with it. It is a Reminder for the believers. Follow what has been brought down to you from your Lord and do not follow any allies besides Him. Rarely do you remember! 7:2-3 Once again, the prophet was commanded to follow what was brought down to him, and as per the words in 7:2, God mentions only the Quran for what was brought down. Throughout the Quran, we cannot see any evidence of any revelation Muhammad received from God other than the Quran. And thus We have made enemies for every prophet, human and jinn devils, inspiring to one another fancy sayings in deception. 6:112 If you really dig into the hadith, WHICH IS THE WORD OF MAN NOT GOD, there are some nasty stuff about the prophet. Its disrespecting him if we follow something that he wasn't there to authenticate. I mean if u really look into it you can clearly see its fabricated, but of course God, The Almighty guides whom he wills. Its also not my place to say most people are wrong, God is the best judge. And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Quran as [a thing] abandoned." Why would the prophet Muhammad say this and why him. 1) the whole hadith is about him. 2) Islam says its primary book is the Quran, however literally everything Islam does is from the fabricated hadith. Such as the prayer, the 2.5 zakat and much more. Most Muslim recite the Glorious Quran in Arabic, when they don't know a single word in the language, and God says this book is a guidance for the believers. How is this right, nowhere in the Quran doesn't it say u must learn Arabic or recite in a foreign language. Of course it is good to learn and UNDERSTAND Arabic to get a deeper understand of the Quran but if u want the basic and important message, its unnecessary. O you prophet, why do you prohibit what God has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? God is Forgiver, Merciful. 66:1 Saying the prophet made music haram, which is nowhere in the Quran, goes against the Quran. Music is just one example there are loads of haram things in the hadith, its a joke. I mean its so hard to live obeying the hadith. When you push all fabricated sources and follow the true law, the Quran, life becomes simple and clear, your eyes starts opening up to your true purpose, in this life. Your an idolater if you uphold any religious book except the Quran. Your basically doing what the Christians did and following the word OF MAN AND NOT GOD. There so much more with how the hadith contradicts with the Quran but 'll just leave you with one more verse. We have placed veils over their hearts so that they do not understand it, and deafness in their ears. And when you mention your Lord, in the Quran alone, they turn their backs and run away in aversion. 17:46 All praise belongs to the LORD OF THE THRONE.

So I want to ask in things that is vague in the Quran for example it says don’t not go to the extreme because allah does not love the extreme. An-Nisa' 4:59 يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَطِيعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا۟ ٱلرَّسُولَ وَأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَمْرِ مِنكُمْۖ فَإِن تَنَٰزَعْتُمْ فِى شَىْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَٱلرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْءَاخِرِۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result. Theses are the proofs from the Qur'an that obeying the prophet who is the messenger but not alive. That's why we have hadith that gives details about what he told us to obey and adhere, so if you don't believe in hadith , you are not obeying him

Did Allah send the prophet without any reason which seems you are manifesting such beliefs according to your comment and that is disbelief , how do you obeying the messenger because Allah tells us to obey the messenger and the messenger mentioned in the Qur'an to be obeyed is definitely the prophet Muhammad sallallahu aleyhi wassallam . Secondly how to you implement the Islamic legislations , how do you pray , don't try to justify abandonment of the Qur'an in it's implementation of it's laws. Don't just speak . Thirdly you definitely don't follow quran . It seems you are one of those who depend on translations if that is the case then it's waste of time to convey you the message. What Did The Messenger Receive & What Was His Authority by Jake Brancatella The following is a refutation of the “Quran Only” perspective by a former follower of this ideology. Yes, that’s right I used to be one for about eight years. However, I have found contradictions between the Quran only point of view and ayat of the Qur’an itself. There are several issues with the Quran only position, but I will focus on one that I see is fundamental and one that was a major factor, which caused me to abandon the position. The issue surrounds what the Messenger peace be upon him received from Allah and what his authority is in regards to what he received. For those that may not be familiar, the Quran only position is that the Quran itself is sufficient in all matters of the deen of Islam and that all ahadith apart from the Quran are to be rejected. Some verses that are used to support this by Quranists are 45:6, 6:114, 10:35, 6:19, 10:15, 25:31, 39:23, etc. They also believe that obeying the Messenger peace be upon him is according to what he received from Allah. However, they differ with Sunnis by claiming that the Messenger only received the Quran and nothing more. Some proof texts for this are 6:19, 10:15, 6:114, etc. What the messenger received and what his authority was is inevitably linked, so we must investigate what he actually received from Allah. Sunnis and Quran only folks agree unquestionably that the Messenger peace be upon him received the Quran and was to be obeyed according to it. The real question is, did the Messenger peace be upon him receive wahi apart from the Quran and was he to be obeyed in regards to that as well? The Quran answers in the affirmative and demonstrates that the Messenger was to be obeyed according to this other wahi as well. The technical term for the Quranic revelation is wahi matlu or revelation that is recited. The second type of revelation is known as wahi ghayr matlu or revelation that is not recited. Let us now investigate whether or not the latter is evident in the Quran itself. 1 Beginning in Quran 2:143, “Thus We made you a moderate community, that you may be witnesses to humanity, and that the Messenger may be a witness to you. We only established the direction of prayer, which you once followed, that We may distinguish those who follow the Messenger from those who turn on their heels. It is indeed difficult, except for those whom God has guided. But God would never let your faith go to waste. God is Kind towards the people, Merciful.” We see in this aya that the Messenger was following a previous qibla established by Allah, but where is the command in the Quran for the Messenger to follow this first qibla? It does not exist. Not only that, other people were following the Messenger on this qibla as is evident from the phrase that mentions the purpose of the qibla being changed, “that We may distinguish those who follow the messenger from those who turn on their heels”. This means the messenger and other believers were on a previous qibla ordained by Allah, yet it is not mentioned in the Quran. Thus, we must conclude that the Messenger received wahi apart from the Quran from Allah to follow this qibla and he ordered others to do the same. This also proves his authority was not limited to the Quran. 2 A second example of wahi ghayr matlu is in Quran 3:123-126, “God had given you victory at Badr, when you were weak. So fear God, that you may be thankful. When you said to the believers, “Is it not enough for you that your Lord has reinforced you with three thousand angels, sent down?” It is; but if you persevere and remain cautious, and they attack you suddenly, your Lord will reinforce you with five thousand angels, well trained. God made it but a message of hope for you, and to reassure your hearts thereby. Victory comes only from God the Almighty, the Wise.” The obvious question comes, how did the Messenger know that Allah would be supporting the believers in battle with angels? There is no verse in the Quran where Allah states this. Also, note that these verses are in the past tense and are recalling something that already occurred. The Messenger is quoted as to what he said to the believers, which was certainly knowledge of the unseen. Again, this incident is referenced in Qur’an 8:9-10, “When you appealed to your Lord for help, He answered you, “I am reinforcing you with one thousand angels in succession.” God only made it a message of hope, and to set your hearts at rest. Victory comes only from God. God is Mighty and Wise.” The Messenger asked for Allah’s help and Allah’s response to the Messenger is quoted directly in the Quran. Again, this is expressed in the past tense regarding something that already occurred. The Messenger then relayed this knowledge to the believers as was already shown in 3:123-126. Notice that the Messenger didn’t simply quote Allah. He put the revelation into his own words as the quotes compared aren’t the same, yet it conveyed the same truth that Allah would support the believers in battle with angels and it carried the same weight and authority. 3 We also have the example of the prophet marrying the Companion Zayd’s ex wife in Qur’an 33:37, “When you said to him whom God had blessed, and you had favored, “Keep your wife to yourself, and fear God.” But you hid within yourself what God was to reveal. And you feared the people, but it was God you were supposed to fear. Then, when Zayd ended his relationship with her, We gave her to you in marriage, that there may be no restriction for believers regarding the wives of their adopted sons, when their relationship has ended. The command of God was fulfilled.” Notice that the aya says, “You hid within yourself what Allah was to reveal and you feared the people, but it was Allah you were supposed to fear.” Why would Allah address the Prophet about this if he didn’t know he would eventually marry Zayd’s wife? It is obvious that if someone is hiding something they must have knowledge of it. Therefore, we must conclude that Allah informed the prophet that Zayd would divorce his wife and he would marry her afterwards. However, this is not mentioned in the Quran. So once again, this is another example of revelation received apart from the Quran. The fact that the prophet was addressed for not conveying it shows us that this other wahi is expected to be conveyed and is binding on the Prophet and the believers. 4 The last example that I will use for the sake of being concise is found in Quran 66:3, “The Prophet told something in confidence to one of his wives. But when she disclosed it, and God made it known to him; he communicated part of it, and he avoided another part. Then, when he informed her of it, she said, “Who informed you of this?” He said, “The All-Knowing, the All-Informed, informed me.” The Prophet is said to be told by Allah that one of his wives disclosed what he had told her. When his wife asks him about who informed him of this he says that Allah did. Yet, there is no mention of when and what Allah told him in the Quran. This must be considered wahi the prophet received that is obviously not Qur’an. Let us now consider the authority of the Messenger peace be upon him. There are countless ayat in the Quran that contain the phrase, “obey Allah and obey the messenger”. For example, Quran 8:20-22 “O you who believe! Obey God and His Messenger, and do not turn away from him when you hear. And be not like those who say, “We hear,” when they do not hear. The worst of animals to God are the deaf and dumb-those who do not reason.” A typical Quranist response is to say that we obey the Messenger in the message that he brought, which was only the Quran. However, in light of wahi ghayr matlu that is explicit in the Quran we know that this interpretation is erroneous. The Messenger’s authority is clearly not limited to the Quran as he received wahi from Allah that was not Quran, which was conveyed and applied as well. So, we must conclude that obedience to the Messenger is not limited to the Quran. In summary, the Quran-only position is false because it limits the authority of the messenger to the Quran, which is a contradiction with the Quran itself. This is clear from the following deductive argument: Premise 1 - If the Messenger peace be upon him received wahi apart from the Quran, then the Quran only position is false. Premise 2 - The Messenger peace be upon him received wahi apart from the Qur’an (2:143, 3:123-126, 8:9-10, 33:37, 66:3, etc). Conclusion - Therefore, the Quran-only position is false.

This may be correct but Hadith is still contradictory and wrong. Allah says to obey the messenger everytime. He never says obey the prophet because the prophet side to Rasool Allah won’t always be accessible. All the points you brought up. Again they are correct but in terms of our salvation. Allah makes it very clear. The verses you brought up fall under ‘Wanting to know’ rather than ‘needing to know’

Have you never taken to consideration of Allah warning us multiple times of following another source besides THE Quran? If we take into account of the majority of muslims saying the hadiths as another important source for mankind's mercy, then it implies Allah isnt all knowing since the hadiths were only compiled 200+ years later which is just insulting to Allah's might

Selina Street I believe you shouldn't judge on wether I'm wrong or right based your opinion of it. A scholar is also human like you and me. My faith is on Allah and His verbatim Al-Qur'an, I don't consult any other book or opinion when Allah already makes things clear, detailed and specific in his speech, unless I'm too uneducated or feel necessary to do so in matter that are out of my grasp.
