Thank you for this teaching. I have many friends who are charismatic, evangelical Catholics who believe that there is nothing we can do to gain God's love, Jesus paid the price for our sins and our healing. I work in a Catholic church, which believes the same. The entire Diocese in my city is on fire for Jesus and the preaching of the Good News of Jesus in the churches and outside is their mandate. They are hungry for revival, have the most beautiful worship services, and long for his return. The Archbishop in my city is all about Jesus as the way to God and experiencing God and knowing Jesus personally. Some priests have even been baptized as adults. The official mandate is to evangelize Catholics so that every Catholic knows Jesus personally. Alpha courses are run in just about every Catholic church in the diocese and there is expansion of this movement across Canada and the USA. There are theological differences, of course, but their love for Jesus is unquestionable. And in my country, Canada, the First Nations peoples who are Christian are on-fire Catholics, totally in love with Jesus as their Saviour, Lord, and best Friend. I'm learning that the theologies and dogmas of any church, "while 'official'",cannot replace or dampen down the personal experience and changed lives people have when they encounter Jesus. Theology and dogma have yet to catch up. God is on the move! To Him be glory forever, amen.

Years ago when living through a dangerous time in South Africa my fiance wanted me to learn how to shoot. A police officer came over and asked me one question; " Would you be prepared to shoot someone without hesitation?" I stalled and started to explain when etc. and he said you will be better without a gun. The person who was not armed before, will be armed with your gun when you hesitate, and you will be worse off. " And that was that. Dearest Jesus, please take all hesitancy away from me when it comes to God's perfect Word. My inner Man is my true discerner.
