I'm pretty sure St. Pius X is the polar opposite of Ratzinger. Ratzinger attended Vatican 2 wearing a suit and tie (although he was an ordained priest), pushing the liberal agenda. It's interesting that he had this vision while having an audience with Franciscans. The wisdom of this coincidence might be good for Pope Francis to contemplate. If we are trying to promote ideals, but it is causing us to have to persecute good priests while turning a blind eye to the bad ones, then these ideals are causing us to 'walk over the fallen bodies of fellow priests in an attempt to leave Rome'. And we shouldn't leave Rome, we should find the truth within Rome, within Tradition, within the revealed truths of the Church. We should believe that the truths are revealed by God, and we should seek a deeper conversion of love and understanding of these truths. Then they will come alive and people will believe in them again!
