Kaneohe is a great area! Definitely more rain than a lot of other areas but nice and cool.

I was stationed at marine corps air station from July 1959 to December. 1960, I Remember going into kaialua for pizza. I also remember when they were still building the Pali tunnel. .

Kuala is between Waikane and Ka'aawa... not in Kaneohe.

@@LRod1959 Kualoa has a 96744 zip code, meaning it's in Kaneohe. Waikane, Kahaluu, Haiku, etc are just "neighborhoods" in Kaneohe.

@@rayage777 That's just the USPS. It doesn't recognize the ahupua'a, but local people do.

@@LRod1959 That's funny. I had many friends that lived in Kaawa, Waikane, Kahaluu, up and down the Windward coast and none of them would talk about the ahupua'a. I knew families that lived on their land own the land for ages. I went to Heeia, King, Castle, and WCC, everyone knew that Kahaluu was part of Kaneohe, just like Kualoa is part of Kaneohe. That's why Castle took people from such a big area, because of how far up the coast Kaneohe went. People don't say I live in Kapunahala, not Kaneohe or I live in Heeia not Kaneohe.
