@ChasehaWing I never thought about your last claim, but you’re right. Like Yes! Dijanay may not be the greatest friend and is lazy at times, but her upbringing plays a role. For al we know, Dijanays parents are neglectful leaving her and the siblings to look out for themselves. Dijanay always complains about wanting her have her own room and quiet time for herself (All of which Penny at least has). And even though we don’t see it, she probably DOES have to watch her brothers and sisters…like come on, there’s like 8 of them altogether. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Why did Dijonay have to be the dark skinned one with the heaviest "blacent" not just compared to the Prouds, but most other character designs on the show? They chose to depict her as the most dysfunctional, and it appears that fans look back on her as the "worst" friend. It's just obvious that there was a little colorism if that's the right word. I'm not the best-equipped on these topics but it always seemed kinda targeted to me.
