I have been doing zero with hard breach for a while now. While it is a bit more tedious then just EMP+HB, you can still solo open any electrified wall if you know where to put your cams

feel like the combo might be more balanced if they removed the points notification from the prox alarm, so at the very least you'd need to be close enough to a) hear it and b) know which alarm it was specifically, rather than just pressing detonate when the notif popped up lol

Its not like year one where everyone was getting c4ed through the floor as soon as you broke down a door by pulse and your only way to counter was mediocre IQ. There's so many tools to destroy the beeper or c4. Or you can freeze the player in place and hunt him with lion or the new guy can ping him... Hell you can use recruit and emp the beeper and the c4 now.

the biggest advantage here is that you can detonate the c4 across the map since you don't need to hear it just keep an eye out for that "+5 points proximity alarm triggered"

@@udontknowme00 If you don't remember them, the best tip to remember is to setup a proxy or camera, then shotgun out the floor a certain distance away from it in a specific direction (not on the exact spot). Then when you're downstairs, you just need to move back that small distance to the original spot. Example: Oregon 2F Big Window. Place a proxy above the window. While looking at the window, note that the compass is facing West. Either shotgun the floor to the South (left) of the window or take note of an important object visible on both floors: A hatch in Kids' Dorms to the North (right) of the window. Z-ping the hatch while standing on c4 spot and remember it is 5m to the North of the window (guess). Go downstairs to the hatch in kitchen, stand under it, and ping the floor where you are standing. Move South until you are 5m away from the hatch, look straight up and toss your nitro cell to the ceiling. You can decide to place it close on the window or slightly away (East) to compensate for your delayed reaction to the proximity alarm or points notification. This can be replicated for any location you don't already know the preplace spot for, which I think is good to remember because it helps you learn preplace spots mid-game.

I swear this new recruit update is like a dream come true for me. Not going to lie, I tried this for a few games and I can see why Macie was saying that the points should be hidden. It’s literally a guaranteed kill with no consequences. It would still be a fun combo with the points hidden, it’s just you’d have to play closer to the objective or have a cam with a teammate to say when to activate.

My problem with the recruit rework is that its hardly enough to dedicate its own season to on top of a year where 1 of the other 4 ops is a rework, so depending on how significant the rework essentially 2 new ops this year. Im hoping they go big for year 10 for the milestone

This strat is immediately nullified if an attacker does what they're supposed to; drone before entering. For competent players, this is the easiest of the c4 strat operators to counter. For valk, you have to know she is playing in your area of the map and then you need to find the camera which could be literally anywhere. For pulse, you need to drone below, or it's probably over. For the recruit, all you gotta do is check your entry point for the most obvious gadget in the game. A glowing triangle that can't be far from the door or window, or it won't do anything.
