Yes agree it is very pricey but if you have to keep buying controllers every couple months as I do as a heavy gamer 8-10 hours a day gaming then it pays for itself quite fast. I have a Turtle beach stealth ultra which has hall effects and heavy use and it has been absolutely great with no issues for less than the Phantom one. Though the Phantom one does have the adjusters making it forever useful. Already have a pre-order on the Hall effect version so I also have a PS5 style controller now too!

The standard PS5 controller that you get with a console buy are terrible for quality. I've gone through 3 since having my PS5 under 12 months. So when you break it down it is very expensive for this controller but if it gets rid of any chance of stick drift then I think it's worth it although I would still wait for prices to drop because they will at some point, ie deals, 10% offs, black fridays or January sales. All my controllers so far have suffered stick drift.

The dreamcast "fixed" it by having worse precision and giant deadzone. If a console company put them on a modern controller they would get ROASTED more than for stick drift. This entire dreamcast myth was started with propaganda to sell a $70 3rd party controller 🤣

Its like winning the lottery. I have an almost 3 year old scuf reflex pro with no stick drift. .03 left stick and .04 right stick in cod. The R2 spring is going out though before I get drift. Thats a first😂

@@acchery8910 definitely inflation and greedy companies rather than people. Back in the day there were many many 3rd party controllers, they were mid but there was an insane variety. Now we essentially have 3 - 5 for ps5, and most are just modded dual sense. Not even made by them.

Pro Playstation controllers are always WAY more expensive than Xbox for some reason. The most "reasonably" priced PS5 ones are the Victrix Pro BFG & Dualsense Edge, and even those are pushing $200

One word: Gulikit. Their TMR stick (better than hall-effect) mods and back-button mods are really cheap, and only need to be installed by a repair shop (or by yourself if you have decent experience with soldering and repairing).

Gulikit kk3 max = $70 USD Has all this, and Hal affect. Down side is that it’s only for pc, and Switch. But the point is, this controller is way over priced; and with a little ingenuity + adapter, I use the Gulikit on all my consoles.

@@ToddParker absolutely. Look for Brook Wingman converters in your preferred online marketplace. Brook makes all sorts of converter adapters. I believe they even have ones for the latest consoles. I use my gulikit kk2 pro for my switch, and recently bought flydigi Vader 4 pro to use on my other consoles. I have a Wingman for each of my consoles except the Switch; the kk2 pro connects to that without a converter. Those converters are an ease install and use; just remember to update them with your pc.

Assuming you have a soldering kit and are fine with the risk of bricking your controller. It sucks but most people aren't willing or capable of modifying their own hardware.

I have a SCUF with two large paddles on the back. Having two large paddles is much better. You cannot see exactly what you are pressing, and you only want these paddles to help you to jump, and go prone. That’s it. When you are in a gun fight you can jump by pressing the back bumper, allowing you to stay aimed in. The buttons do not needs to be small and exact. Quite the opposite. A large button you cannot miss is better.

It's a good point because the haptic feedback function patent is owned by Sony, so I cannot see how another company can use it without braking USA patent law.

It's an actual PS5 dualsense controller that they added features to. So yes, it has all the same features that a regular dualsense controller has. They did what Sony should've done from the beginning.

PLEASE JUST GET HALL EFFECTS the parameter machine that "fixes it" just changes the centering and doesnt actually fix the drift just sets where is drift is as the center and can cause physical issues

AIM controllers have been around for ages and they use hall effect sticks which fixes drift lol. I have 1 myself. It also has all the same features, except instead of 4 back buttons gives you 4 back paddles which can be removed (modular, you can remove just 2 back paddles if you like). It is also cheaper and has a lifetime warranty.

Dualsense Edge is the best for the $, quality, and ease of stickdrift fix. Oh, and comfort, and the paddles are the best. Sony really did the consumer the tight way on that controller, if not much else.

Yeah the DualSense Edge is great. I bought it for the selling point marketed for easy replacement of module/s should they need to be replaced. Only thing is going on a year or more now you can't find a genuine replacement as they are all out of stock. And the few that are selling are Ali Baba knock offs claiming to be genuine original Edge modules (which they are not) are selling them at 2x-3x the normal price to add insult to injury. Another downside with the Edge is the inner grip which is the thin piece of rubber or whatever material on the underside of the handles. They begin to peel off in a matter of time causing discomfort. I'm considering peeling them right off at the moment and call that George. I love the Dualsensene Edge otherwise though and the haptic feedback is incredible. I just can't go back to using a controller with no haptic feedback again. The competitors don't have it because Sony has patented it. Though one or two may offer a version of haptic feedback but it's not the same.

If costs about 3 dollars to replace the sticks from Aliexpress or nothing if the tracks of the pots attached to the sticks just need cleaning. You just need to know how to use a soldering iron and how to use the search function on youtube to see an example video. The cost of this thing is obscene. You could buy a bunch of controllers for the cost of this.

The dual sense edge is a more hated controller and I personally wouldn’t recommend it but is is one of few that has trigger stops and adaptive triggers the one I recommend is the vitrix pro controller bc it can connect to ps4 and ps5 plus pc

Dualsense edge still has a more permanent fix for stick drift compared to this. But the edge only has 2 paddles and doesn't have the mouse-clicks, so it's more about personal preference and what you care about. The edge is also almost $100 cheaper

The basic edge controller comes with deadzone settings that compact stick drift like the $279 option, and it's only $200. Replacing the stick modules on the edge doesn't fix the stick drift though

I've never tried that one, but I think it has the same paddles layout as the Scuf Envision which is my favorite I've ever used. They definitely mastered the 2 fingers to click 4 paddles layout

Um. Let's see. I get stick drift and go buy a new ps5 controller for 70 bucks or a 300 dollar controller that "can fix" stick drift? Hmm. Heck no, I'm not spending 300. I'm fine spending 70 once or twice a year (and that's a stretch).
