This is my favorite Psychedelic Furs song. At the time this song came out, I was on the dark side of a 4 year relationship break up (was engaged but my fiance cheated on me big time). This song helped me grasp onto life as I fell so deep into alcoholism and drug use to escape the pain. Love can build you or break you. But I found love again after many years and have been happily married since.

Saw these guys back in ‘82 on the Forever Now tour. They were glorious. Richard Butler was riveting to watch and, quite obviously, he’s still got it. Glad to see his brother along side him. Wish this tour had come to where I live…..jealous of everyone who got to see them.

Those were the days, my friend. I went to shows nearly every week….not to boast but I saw a slew of what can now be considered “classic artists” of that era. It helped being in a large city as well.

I agree completely. I'm 64 and was 23 when this song came out, and loved it then, and love still love them along with Echo, and the Bunnymen, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, INXS, and all sorts of bands from the late 70's through the 80's. It's cool to see folks watching music that seems to be before their generation, and they get to listen to 'timeless' tunes many of us loved (and still love). Not surprisingly, after 40+ years, the Psychedelic Furs are still touring, and were just here in San Diego recently and they still rock their music and sound great!

That classic British accent just speaks volumes about the root of the 80's like "I'll melt with you". That "love my way" part reminds me of "downer" Neil from "The Young Ones" on MTV.

Being someone who's the same age as most of the musical artist of the 80's, this is my favorite genre, and one of the best eras for great music, something not too many kids today appreciate. Many of them are still playing and can pack the crowd, whereas most of the bands today are a flash in the pan, here today, gone tomorrow.

I now wish that I wasn't so damn High when I saw them at Toad's Place, in the heart of Yale Univ. and I don't even remember what yr in the '80s it was. All the great bands that I saw there in the late 1970s and '80s. Saw INXS there their first 2 tours and they were magnificent as was an early U2 (before they become too precious for me). Wven the Stones played there. I wasn't smitten by the Furs at first. I grew to love them but I hear people saying 'Oh he sounds great'. I have to disagree cuz I thought his voice kept breaking and I'm a fan but I'm being honest.
