Lori Massacci Over 14 years, there were multiple incidents that were witnessed, written down and reported. I’ve read somewhere of 60+ incidents over that time frame. If you don’t call that escalation, you’re delusional. Saying that he only hit her once is laughable. Even OJ said the cops had been to the house 8 times. The reason he stopped after the 1989 incident, is because of a revision in their prenup, that if he laid a hand on her again, she’d get half of that estimated 10 million dollar fortune. Stop with the Jason Simpson narrative. There isn’t a shred of evidence that points to Jason, yet hundreds that points to OJ.

I used to work for a rehab agency for people with TBI (traumatic brain injury), and I noticed some of the comments on this video are about CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy). This is a very real thing. I know firsthand that some of these clients were the nicest people, compassionate, kind, even empathetic. But there's a common side effect with this kind of brain injury... It often causes latent or minor psych issues to present as acute psych disorders. This can be gradual or sudden, it can come and go, and there's rarely any warning, which is why all staff had to be trained in some "passive self-defense" verbal de-escalation courses as part of our training, along with some simple (gentle) physical self-defense to get out of various holds, block kicks, hits, bites, etc, without harming the clients. Not to preach, but I hope it's helpful to include that aside from sudden violent outbursts, these clients _commonly_ suffer short term memory loss, meaning they won't remember jack about what just happened. It's heartbreaking to have to tell them why so-and-so won't talk to them anymore, or why such-and-such place banned them from returning ever again... why their kids never visit. As a caretaker, you'll be "lucky" if their motor functions are at least slightly diminished. However, in some cases the client will have retained all motor function and athleticism. In these cases, the clients are kept in higher security "group homes" with highly experienced staff. It's an understatement to say they these clients are a threat to the community. They can be dangerous to themselves and others. Sometimes the police would be called, and it was part of the job to handle that too. It's not a "get out of jail free" card, but it definitely gets the charges dropped FAST with medical records. (NOTE: It's not a great legal defense since it can often result in requiring the services of such an agency as the one I worked at FOR LIFE!) I'm not excusing OJ. because I think prison is the safest place for him to be. Just saying, he suffered brain trauma during his football career, so it's easy to imagine him having a huge outburst to a minor transgression with very little (if any) recall. EDIT: I also think you're right about the signs. Someone should have stopped it before it ever happened.

You say "the details of this murder" as if you have read and analyzed the autopsy report. If you did, then you would know that Nicole was killed by a left handed assailant with a single edge knife and Ron was killed by at least 2 assailants( one with a single edge and a double edge knife). So when you say most expert are 100 percent sure OJ killed Nicole and Ron, that's BS. The so called evidence proven to be planted during the case. If you clearly remember the trial, Kato said that he and OJ went to the location the bloody glove was discovered by Furhman. When Kato and OJ went to that location they had flashlights and didn't see anything. Furhman went back there without a flashlight and saw the glove on top of leaves. The Bruno Magli shoe prints in the photos fit perfectly in the tiles at Bundy. Detective Lang testified the size of the tiles were 11and a half square inches, which means that OJ didn't wear those shoes because he wears a size 12. Domestic violence: There were only 2 documented cases of domestic violence. After the incident in 1989, OJ restructured his prenuptial agreement to give Nicole all his money and assets if he would ever touch her violently again. She was initially entitled to nothing. So why would you make a video without doing the research? Because you were lied to by the same entity that makes OJ look guilty when he is innocent. Last but not least: The courts have sealed the phone records of Juditha Brown (Nicole's Mother). She said she was on the phone with Nicole at 11pm on the night of the murders. Well OJ was in his limo at the time. Why would they seal phone records. This is very important because no one can be in two places at on time. The DA attorney's office is protecting it's self.

Joseph Swabe Even if it's possible he didn't do it, he may have hired someone to kill her. She told many people that she was so afraid he would kill her and get away with it. She said she couldn't ever leave him or he would kill her. The therapist she visited who is a famous author on abuse, and the therapist told her she was afraid for Nicole's life. She made many calls to police over the years, and other people in her life have accounts she gave them of abuse. If you watch the video interviews of OJ by the police, he has zero emotion, including over pictures of her having been beat up by him. He is almost joking and laughing. I have watched tons of interviews of him. He never ever expresses mourning or even sadness over her death. In fact one time he says he often feels angry at her still. (These are the reasons I DO believe he is a psychopath. Not normal at all. Very shallow emotion, no regard for others' humanity or even their lives. Psychopaths can often be charming, helpful people who extend themselves to be a friend to people as many have said of OJ. But they are also compulsive cheaters (as he was at games like golf and poker), and at marriage lol, compulsive liars, users and abusers. And killers

He lacked empathy for others, didn't care about anything that wasn't about him, would say he loved me, acted like he hated me, would rage to get what he wanted, used vile language to put me down, wanted to steal my life, was obsessed with gaining power and control over everything (except himself), still hasn't left me alone, always trying to stay in my head, wanted me to be his slave, until I learned about NPD and went no contact (best decision ever).

I studied psychopathy in college. And you're exactly right about narcissism. They very often go hand in hand. What you went through is absolutely unspeakable. You're lucky to be here to share your story. I'm glad that you are. My dad controlled my mom every day of her adult life, beating her, and phsycologically abusing her. I witnessed it first hand, which is why I advocate against domestic violence. My niece was murdered by her boyfriend when she tried to leave him. He shot her in the head, and put her body in a dumpster. Men that behave this way are obviously cowards. I have been teaching self defense to women for almost 16 years, and it's the best choice I've ever made. My wife Janine just passed away two months ago from multiple sclerosis. If I could have just one more day with her, I'd give everything I have. I protected her, which is what a man is supposed to do. Anyway, again I'm glad you've survived your ordeal. ♡♡

He was an important black celebrity, a good looking, likable presence that helped white people 'sigh' with guilt-relief and feel they had a friend. He was also a supreme FB player that fans were in awe of. He wasn't a skilled TV sports commentator at first, but he developed, and his role on the Monday night football team with Howard Cosell, Don Meredith, and Frank Gifford was wonderful entertainment. And so it came as a shock to many when he was first announced as a suspect in the summer of '94, though it wasn't shocking to those closer to his situation who knew of his problems with domestic violence. One interesting point that emerged on the talk shows was that the murder was typical of a common crime: murder by jealous rage. Set aside the fame and you have a suspect that ticks off most of the boxes for this kind of criminal profile.

I watch a whole lot of shows and listen to podcasts devoted to true crime. I know why OJ cut his hand during the crime. It's one of the first things cops look for in stabbing murders, because most knives are not designed for that (they are mostly for cooking). It is extremely common when stabbing someone for the blade to get slick with blood, and for the perpetrator's hand to slip and cut him or herself in the process. One of the first things the police will do is look at a suspect's hands. OJ fails that test, just like most others based on any sort of factual evidence. Too much Investigation Discovery and Sword and Scale. I've had a fascination for what goes through people's heads when they do something really awful for as long as I can remember.

Unfortunately this kind of murder is all too common. Abusers often end up killing their spouse/ ex-spouse/ partner. Narcissistic rage is clear in this case. Just to bring up another case of the same type... look up Dominique Dunne. Her ex-boyfriend murdered her, and got only 2.5 years in prison. I think that was because he didn’t remember the murder. He didn’t deny it, but he didn’t remember and I believe that, because narcissistic rage can blind people to what they are doing. They are so angry, so distraught, so enraged that they act out without thinking or being in total control of their actions. This doesn’t mean they aren’t responsible for their actions. Not at all! But it makes sense to me with OJ, based on the history of abuse. How the relationship began,, how it progressed and how it tragically ended. It wasn’t a black and white thing. It was a Narcissistic rage episode of an abuser. Look up cases where this happens. It’s common. Unfortunately.

"You were working as a waitress in a cocktail bar, when I met you..." Edit: As for the black community, I think by the trial in 1994, the brutalization of Rodney King by the LAPD was still very fresh in everyone's minds. Decades of police brutality against black folks (which still happens) who either didn't do anything, or at least didn't merit the level of brutality in police response, heavily influenced the minds of the possibility of OJ being mistreated, or even framed. Just a cultural perspective. Although it's very likely he did commit this murder, I can understand that many folks had reason to be skeptical. As you said, the evidence was damning, and I personally think he did it, but I can see where those jurors were likely coming from. (The FBI had also been keeping a close eye on black communities for decades as well, blaming civil rights groups and exaggerating the activities of the Black Panthers who were just trying to protect their communities, etc)

Nume Moon , What you say sounds nice. But, as pointed out CTE can only be diagnosed post-mortem (after death). As for putting everyone with a possible TBI (traumatic brain injury) or any history of head trauma in a home, that is impossible and a violation of human rights. Nearly everyone who has participated in any semi-aggressive sport has had some hit to the head or other. Most children have! I mean, if you're watching an 8 hour documentary on a profoundly disturbing murder case, I...would think you should be ready to see the crime scene photos. They do warn you at the beginning of each Part as well. Otherwise, dig the show, I've been obsessed with the OJ trial given the resurgence of interest, especially the sociopathy of Simpson. Studying him actually helped me recognize some of those traits in others, which proved very helpful in personal relationships :), as might be expected.

You can argue this case all you want... drug connections, the mob, CTE, race.... but one true fact remains. His blood was intermixed with Ron's and Nicole's blood on the left handed glove that was left at the crime scene. The left handed glove was pulled off at crime scene. OJ's left hand was also lacerated on his middle left finger. It's indisputable that he did it. The defense team made 50k a day. They did their job well to invite the perception of police corruption. The jury spent four hours after 8 months of testimony then came back with a not guilty. They were so done.

I agree with you on OJ's star power back in the day. I was born in 1960 and recall vividly the Hertz commercials; he also had a supporting role in the 1974 disaster blockbuster "The Towering Inferno" long before the Naked Gun franchise. Coming of age during the 70s, I would definitely agree he had a wholesome and appealing image. I still remember what a shock it was to see him topple in the 90s. The trial was a media circus I'll likewise never forget.

I used to work with people who were "recovering" from traumatic brain injuries (TBI). This is a fairly new-ish condition since we haven't always had the medical technology to save someone with TBI, they usually just died in the past. It's been found that TBI can often cause latent psych issues to come forward and present as full-blown psychiatric disorders. OJ has suffered brain trauma during his football years. That's not to say he's free from responsibility, but TBI causes a lot of social problems because one of the most common side effects is loss of inhibitions. Even a minor annoyance can result in a sudden, devastating attack. Sometimes the patient won't even recall what happened.

I understand what you’re saying about the societal moment and broader implications of a person of color being guilty or innocent, however it really bugs me when obviously guilty people walk free because of “the world” and considerations that have nothing to do with the individual. There shouldn’t be a bias when someone is white or black or anything else. Everyone should be judged for their own personal conduct, period.

Very interesting stuff! Really enjoyed listening to this. I agree with you that there is no doubt that OJ was guilty. The way you have analysed and identified all the possible contributing factors and underlying possible mental health conditions was really interesting. Talking about OJ's intelligence, I'd say there is no doubt that OJ didn't function at the highest level of intellect. Although I agree with you that this could well have been a contributing factor to his behaviours, I don't think this had an impact on the murder of Nicole and Ron. I believe that Ron caught him by surprise when he was confronting Nicole. Perhaps he was trying to intimidate her or maybe even murder her. However, Ron turning up unexpectedly may have put him into a rage which resulted in a much messier affair. What may have been either a plan to intimidate her or at least murder her discretely may have turned into a confrontation fuelled by jealous rage caused by seeing Ron.This probably led to him being in a frantic state, hence dropping the glove, leaving blood behind, etc.

There's a monumental amount of doubt. It's almost impossible for him to have carried out this vicious crime. But.. I too was 100% sure he was guilty. Domestic violence, all the 911 calls..I was sure he managed to get off because his lawyers were super lawyers. I watched the American Crime Story and became even more convinced of his guilt. I think if someone turned around and said OJ is innocent, most people will think that person is an idiot. Even the jurors now back tracked when they realised it is the wrong political move to say he is innocent. While three of the lawyers (Shapiro, F Lee and Cochrane) used a tremendously clever tactic by playing the race card, they mudied the waters. OJ was framed for two reasons. 1. It's usually the husband or the ex husband. 2. It was a high profile case and everyone involved would become rich and sell books. It had NOTHING to do with RACE. Police and the DA spend millions on high profile cases and close other unsolved crime too readily. Where will YOU find the truth? I watched the WHOLE trial. Including the bits the jury didn't get to see. This WAS not a search for the truth. Marcia Clark used so many dirty tactics but none of them made headlines. As I watched and watched and watched, sorrow filled my heart. The injustice of the justice system. The lies that were exposed. How could I have been so wrong? Surely O.J. did it. I had been so certain. But now I only feel anguish. If anyone is treated unjustly, my heart breaks a little more. My faith in the general goodness of humanity is tested even more. Nicole and that young man were butchered but no one looked for the real killer/s. Instead insult was added to injury by framing an innocent man. Please look for the truth first hand. It's available for ALL to see. The entire trial was filmed. But if you don't or won't bother watching, then reserve judgment. Having said all that, if someone turns around and tells me they think O.J. is innocent, I would look at them and be wondering if they say that out of stupidity or they searched for the truth.
@cynthialyman26366 жыл бұрын
I too am a domestic violence survivor and I totally agree. Possessive, obsessed abusers believe a woman is a marionette on strings, nothing else. If you step out of line or do anything to displease them, you WILL be punished. The only reason I am free is because my abuser actually died (and no: not at my hands). Getting away isn't always as easy as others would have you think. In order to understand how complex and precarious the situation can be, you either have to live it or fully educate yourself. OJ was a classic narcissist, and due to the self-esteem issues that accompany that disorder, he was a disaster waiting to happen when it came to the opposite sex. He flagrantly cheated on his first wife (with Nicole among others) and when Nicole finally made a move towards independence, she received the ultimate punishment: violent death. Happens ALL the time.
@myhumbleopinion30674 жыл бұрын
I'm Black and I did and still do think he did it. Not all Black people thought he was innocent. They were just tired of White people being biased against Black people. Even if he wasn't innocent, with a white female, they would have thought he was guilty. That happens all the time.

@justbelove4 жыл бұрын
It sounds like when he was in a fury of rage, he wasn't "OJ." There was a point in the documentary, I think it was 1985, when a cop was called to the Simpson house, Nicole was found in a car with a broken car window and OJ holding a bat. The cop said it took a few times of, "put down the bat," before OJ snapped back into his normal persona. Idea: Finding Nicole in 1994 with Ronald, put him into that same state, but this time it turned deadly, and the severity of the violence was equal to his lapse in judgement. Perhaps he snapped out of it by the time he arrived home for the limo pick-up.

Great video, love the celebrity analysis. I think OJ was smarter then what you make him to be. In interviews he’s very articulate and observational with a fairly strong vocabulary. His emotional intellegence was clearly lacking. After the first few times he lost his ability to calm himself and abused Nichole. A smart person would recognize they have a flaw and do some things to remedy it, or they were going to lose their job of being a celebrity spokesman. Which was happening before the murder. This was the crazy part of OJ. The other thing was control. Here, as a celebrity, he had almost omnipotent powers, and though he was divorced he still wanted to contol his now ex-wife. A more pragmatic view would be to admit he still loved her, it wasn’t working out, and he should let it go. Having said all that, and at the risk of blaming the victim, clearly Nichole was pushing his buttons, for her own reasons. The guy had beaten her up on multiple occasions, she knew him like no one on the planet, as a jealous maniac, prone to violence, and hurting her. Then she publicly rejects him ,(humiliation), wanting to join them for dinner? In retrospect, she should have at least put some cushion on disinviting him. The whole resturant thing, with Goldman working there, then going to her house, but first going to his home first to clean up. (OJ had been stalking Goldman before.) And, they picked that resturant for a reason, and OJ knew why. Somewere else they said it was choosen because it was less expensive, but wouldn’t have OJ picked up the tab anyway? It was the culmination of multiple factors, jealiously, rage, humiliation, inablity to control, and he couldn’t connect with his girlfriend. He went home and put on his black snooping outfit and just for fun grabed a knife.

The short answer is psychopathy involves an element of deliberate cruelty and torture whereas a sociopath lacks empathy and compassion (although they can manifest these and other emotions convincingly which makes them even more potentially dangerous). And narcissists are all about themselves, period. The three can blend and there are extremes in all three disorders, obviously.

All serial killers are psychopaths, but not all psychopaths are serial killers, who compose a rare category of people and behavior. If you sense that your partner or close friend is a psychopath, then "get out." Not all psychopaths are violent, but all share the problem of lacking the capacity for empathy. They can be very bright, and that enables them to maneuver socially. They also can't be rehabilitated, not if the psychopathology stems from an organic dysfunction.

Look, people have written books about case, but the most compelling book I’ve ever read, was written by Private investigator William C. Dear, called O.J. Is Guilty, but not of Murder. It places O.J. at the crime scene, but not the actual killer. The writer names O.J.’s son Jason as the killer. It’s a well written account of what he thinks happened that night, and it’s backed up by some pretty damning evidence. O.J. was and still is protecting his son.

I agree. I've always found Dear's theory incredibly far-fetched. OJ had far more motive than Jason, plus an incredibly violent history with Nicole where Jason had a positive relationship with her. Dear speculated that Jason murdered Nicole because she had canceled a dinner reservation at his restaurant and he had a "rage disorder". My money is on the guy who repeatedly beat the victim and told her he would kill her.
@milky55way20126 жыл бұрын
Yea, Dear's speculation is not based on what Jason himself has said about Nicole, that they had a very good relationship, however he (Jason) supposedly pulled a knife on his boss at the restaurant over an argument.

moodmuzik He was on Oprah as well. Does that make her look bad? By your logic it should. It just goes to show you that he obviously isn’t as bad as the dream team made him seem. He assimilated back into society where as OJ really has not. The only people who flock around OJ are people who are just happy to be around anyone. More like the low lifes of society with no moral values. Furhman isn’t ostracized where OJ is. Furhman is 10 times the man oj is. People who get better news and are around Furhman know who he really is. The dream team took one of the only things they could and magnified it. Trumped it up. Lied. Furhman did a good job. He helped other black men escape being wrongfully convicted. And that is documented. But you OJ lovers can’t hear that. You’re unable to absorb it. But the majority of the world understand and that’s why Furhman can walk around amidst all the races and be fine. Furhman went out and worked hard at rehabilitating his image. OJ went and did “Juiced” and “If I did it” and robbed people at gunpoint. But you OJ lovers don’t comment about that. It’s a very trashy, classless way to be. Especially when your primary focus is to catch the real killers and bring them to justice. I heard he almost caught the real killer after he left the set of Juiced and was headed to the golf course. If he would have only looked in the rear view mirror his search would be over.

I liked it’. Meaning his rough way sexually was a turn on for her. I would put forth that they had a strange chemistry sexually - addicted to each other- and I would like to see that angle added to the discussion- they were obsessed with each other/ physically, mentally, but they also couldn’t stand each other. It was such a dysfunctional relationship. I think it’s called obsessive love - and they had loose boundaries - like they would still hook up after the divorce - bc they couldn’t quit the physical stuff.
