In Olympia (Nisqually middle school) it was breezed over in a couple of minutes, and most of that surrounded the controversy of whether or not Leschi should have hanged

I just wanted to add that there were other tribes that didn't even come close to surviving at this time. In the Puget Sound, a literal genocide happened.

🔥 ❤By far there should be films and adoptions about this time and place in America. Stories like this must be taught and shared.

That’s because the Klan never swapped parties. They just took over both parties. And the GOP the loser that they are let it happened, and did nothing to finish off the confederates as the south and klan clearly never stopped fighting.

Thank you so much for your work in these untold stories of our native history. It means the world knowing that a non native person took the time to educate themselves and bring forth that information to the world. We need more people like you good sir. Thanks so much for your contribution :)

This is absolutely incredible, I’d love to get some information about this type of stuff for here in Nevada. Ever since learning about the treaty of Ruby Valley and pretty much the untold story of native Americans here, I’ve been on a bend to learn what I can. What an epic piece to the puzzles in my head thank you so much for this video! I’ll check out your others

The commander of the Decatur was rather valiant. All non essential crew members, as well as a few marines, were sent off the ship to fight on the ground, allowing for the women and children of the block houses and surrounding areas to seek refuge aboard. His report was that seven hundred natives attacked, and that his own suffered thirty five casualties.

Apart from the atrocious pronunciation of place names, this is mostly a fair and accurate portrayal, though the trial and execution of Leschi alone could easily have been 10 times longer than the whole video, good work
