Many people don't know that Rihanna's paternal grandma is white. Her dad is clearly mixed. Her grandma is a redleg who descend from poor white indentured servants that were brought to the Caribbean by the British. They're a significant minority in Barbados. Her green eyes are likely inherited by her redleg grandma.

@misspeacock-2506 That's what I originally thought. But, her mother doesn't show signs of admixture. She's really dark-skinned, and Afro guyanese don't usually have admixture like African Americans. Rihanna's eye color can be a result of a genetic mutation.
