I feel so bad for the hate that Nicole gets. People acting like it’s a crime that she is center when she was literally hired to be the actual front runner, lead singer, head pussycat doll. That is how it was designed. People acting i like she pushed the others to the back and kept them from something. Literally makes no sense, and that’s not how it works. Like what? During videos and concerts she just randomly stole everyone else’s lines and forced herself up front in music videos? And everyone accepted it? They weren’t meant to be like a K-pop girl group in that manner. There was only ever one pussycat doll who was hired to be a main side vocal, Melody, who took an issue with it. Only of course after she took the gig. The PCD’s are first and foremost dancers, inspired by burlesque. She could not dance, which is why she is often hidden in the back during certain dance performances on the videos, or sitting somewhere off to the side belting out high notes while the others girl danced. She was given a huge opportunity and then got greedy. She was specifically hired for her voice to belt out powerful background vocals, and when she happily accepted the job, she suddenly didn’t like not getting enough attention. She made an ass of herself on stage and that was that. All of these beautiful women are famous. People LOVE Carmit and Kimberly and Ashley, and Jessica. They are thankful for their role as a PCD. It fell apart MAINLY because of COVID and lockdown, which happened just as React was released and the tour was planed, and then issues that were between Robin (founder) and Nicole with disputes about creative control after lockdown and the tour picking back up. But everyone acting like she “stole” some main spotlight. Doesn’t work that way. If it wasn’t hers, she wouldn’t have had it. That’s how the group was designed. Anyways, my 2 cents that no one asked for lol. Just frustrated to see her get these kinds of comments. Each of these women that wanted it, had an opportunity to have a solo career. PCD were as successful as they were because of their set up. And that includes Nicole front and center. She is not my favorite member. But they are all stunning. It was definitely a letdown when the tour was cancelled. But they do have a lot of life performances after the release of React. Was great to have them again while it lasted.
