Hello, I'm from Latinoamérica, and the reason why the quality of bootleg toys varies so much is because they are made by different people, and depending on who makes them, the quality is decent like the figures you bought in the video, good as others that They were based on the movie, or directly dangerous like the dreadbear you mentioned, it all depends on the interest of the person making the figures, even though it may not seem like there are some very good ones but they are not usually very common because they either run out quickly or are made very few units

I definitely assumed some were from different makers, there's lots of different ones with different feels to them the ones I got were specifically because they seemed to look like they were made with a lot more care, and seeing them not contain the lead reassures that

You don't have to wear gloves even if the paint has lead you know, you'll only have to worry if you suck or bite on them for long periods of time.

it's just a safety precaution, if i have lead on my fingers and i happen to miss a spot on my hand while washing afterwards that wouldn't be very good

Nice video, so i have some of these since I'm from Mexico and as a kid i got these in like fairs and stuff and yeah fun fact, if you wash the figure with water the smell disappears, or just leave it there and in some days it should be gone, you really nailed the smell because yeah it does smell like that rubber plastic because I'm pretty sure they are made out of huge chunks of it wich kinda do make it sturdy, so glad to know not ALL of these figures are deadly, BTW I'm pretty sure the cheaper ones are also some of the smallest cause regularly the bigger they are the better paint and quality they are, also they are made by different makers and you could get the same mold just with paint variations depending in wich city you buy them, so they really are a gamble in person since they can be made on the cheap or with good quality, if you ever plan to do a pt 3, would recommend getting the bigger classic ones, since those also have the acrilic paint and they got updated recently i think , in any case, Great video springs!

I found one in the wild at a Mexican toy shop. while they had some seemingly legitimate stuff, they had bootlegs galore there for basically everything. The fnaf figures I found were in a bundle. the box had stolen fan renders and even a render of the bear from POPGOES

@@sheeveman7568 im pretty sure its just a cheaper since it gets you the color and is way faster to produce, also Mexico has had history with lead dating back to the 1970s and 80s with even official transformers produced in mexico having them, not to say every single toy has it just some cheap made ones do, tough a lot of the bigger bootlegs are made with acrylic since you can find it everywhere here and its also cheap, hope this helps

Because the economy in México is kind of messed up so any chance to get something from a franchise you like at a cheap price is welcomed, plus any official fnaf merch is extremely overpriced here since not many stores import them, so you usually have to get them from resellers
