The V1 outward appearance was design perfection. Why can’t they just re-release the V1??

I like the larger bezels of the V1, but prefer the boxier profile of this V2 classic. This V2 definitely has a more sophisticated case design than the V1 though (no screws)

Really wish this offered a split spacebar option like the zoom65 does. This design is much nicer.

Yeah, unfortunately I think it's only the QK60 which has a split spacebar option. Seems like people keep requesting this from the QK series though, so maybe they will implement this eventually!

very nice video! I was not considering much the qk65v2 classic as my first custom keyboard cause i liked more the one with screen but also this looks great and clean especially in this color and with those keycaps

Thank you!!!! Seems like the QK65v2 Classic release is kind of flying under the radar for now, but I guess that's not surprising since a lot of people jumped on the QK65v2 a couple months back. I don't think you can go wrong with any of Qwertykeys' products. You'll definitely be satisfied if it's your first keyboard!

top mount no foam seems like it would be best in person although the gasket mount sound test sounds "better" recorded.

I preferred top mount over the gasket mount for sure with this one. Seems like I'm slowly distancing myself from gasket mount these days since it's become so ubiquitous in the market. Thank you for the comment 🌞

Yes! Finally a proper successor of the Qk65 v1. I feel like the first V2 was too excessive with that screen and the indicator thing which I’m not a big fan of. But when they removed that, I can finally called it an upgraded version of the Qk65v1, how is this compare to the Neo65?

The original v2 definitely stirred the pot for a lot of people, so it's a smart move from QK to release this classic version. Compared to Neo65, I think the case design is going to be the major differentiator. The Qk65v2 Classic has a clip design for the case, which is such a welcome addition for us keyboard people. I can open up the keyboard, swap mounting styles, play around with foam layers, and close it all up within 1 minute - such a huge quality of life improvement over with-screw designs. Sound-wise, I think they are pretty comparable, but the Neo65 sounds a bit brighter to my ear. There's no wired-only QK65v2 option, so that might drive some people to the Neo. I see that you also have a keyboard channel! I'll also be checking it out 🌞 Thank you for leaving a comment!

@TAZAKEY thank you so much for the info's and thanks for checking out. I feel like the community is taking big changes recently in the start of the year. Custom keebs and gaming are starting to be closer and closer with the HE switch technologies, and the new generation assembly like the magnetic connections, screwless design and all.

@@Nakata_Keebs HE is definitely the latest trend to be picked up from the custom keyboard side! I feel like I'm not good enough at games to benefit from HE switches anyway, so that's less relevant for me. The latest magnetic connectors and screwless/ball-catch case designs though have been life changing 😌

I agree with the V2 being too excessive, it felt like just ticking checklists and the final result looked tacky (to me at least). While this is much better, I still prefer the uniform thick bezel on the original QK65, which felt alot like the Vega.

qk65v1과 비교했을때 올폼에서 어떤 차이가 있나요 ?

V1은 가스켓 마운팅만 가능했던 반면 V2는 아무래도 업글된 케이스 디자인과 탑마운트가 가능하다는 점이 가장 뚜렷이 보이는 다른점이 아닌가 싶어요. 사운드 면에서는 크게 다르다고 느껴지진 않았는데 스위치와 키캡을 똑같이 해놓고 비교 하지 못해서 확실한 답변을 드리기가 어렵네요. 그래도 도움이 되셨기를.. 🌞

Your video is so aesthetically and acoustically pleasing! I loved your review, especially the side-by-side profile comparison between the Qk65 v2 and original Qk65. Question about your original Qk65--did you end up leaving the silicone dampener in your original QK65? Btw you should def try putting the ceramic keycaps on your Qk65v2 ☺

TBH, I don't event know what to buy anymore with all of these 65s around the market. QK65V2, NEO65, Luminkey65, Lucky65, TKD Cycle7. I wish someone just sent me either the Keebs or the money as the medicine. Thank you anyway! Your lovely vids just helping me getting a headache lol 😂

@@TAZAKEY Hey man, just wanna give you an update. I already type this on my new QK65 V2 Classic, and maaaan, I love it soo much. Surely heals my headache after getting one. Lol Also after about two weeks, my choice is definitely top mount with only case foam (with sacrifice on the quickness of assemble/disassemble of course, but doesn't matter). Also will try the full foam next time if not too lazy. Lol Thank you! Edit: now my next headache will be about choosing the nicest set of keycaps. lol

@@LdonZion Omg, I missed your reply from a couple weeks ago - my bad! I've been leaning towards top mount more and more as well, so it's definitely worth the tradeoff of having it stuck to the top case. Thank you for writing back here and giving an update - I really appreciate it 🌞 The keycaps headache is an eternal one and not the worst problem to have hahaha

개인적으로 v2는 너무 디자인이 과하게 억지로 다 집어넣은 느낌인데다가 무선 밖에 안팔고 via도 안되서 별로 였는데 일단 디자인은 클래식이 딱 좋네요ㅎㅎ 이건 유선 via 제대로 지원하려나요?

저도 V2 디자인은 과하지 않나 하는 생각이였어요. V2 클래식이 조금 더 오리지널 V1을 제대로 잇는 느낌이에요. V2 클래식은 무선 옵션밖에 없긴 한데 그래도 VIA지원이 된답니다! 🌞

Yes, these are the Nixies of legend! Not actual vintage Nixies though, they are the ones re-released by Cherry in 2022!

Hello! Im a total beginner, what type of screwdriver do i need to work on this keyboard?

The kit actually comes with a screwdriver with all the screwdriver bits that you will need! This board is also a screwless enclosure, so you don't need to mess around with a screwdriver to open and close it! You'll likely need just a standard Phillips head for installing the stabilizers for the entire build!

Thank you, thank you 🌞 I don't mind at all! Believe it or not, I've been filming everything using my X100V.... which is really not ideal, but has been working for me over the last few years. It's definitely a capable camera, but the integrated lens has very loud focusing motors which are audible when recording. Let me know if you have any other questions!

There's going to be minor differences in sound between the two due to the different weights and case designs, but it's negligible

why does your dusk mirror weight looks like the black version instead? Was choosing between black and dusk, now seeing your video makes me wonder what are the difference

Apologies for the poor lighting in the video. I can assure you that in person, the dusk weight looks a lot more "chroma" than what is shown in the video.
