Anyone wish for the daily, unstinting scrutiny the royals put up with? Yes, you can leave all that behind for a variety of reasons, like Edward VIII, the Duchess of Kent, Princes Andrew and Harry, but if you stick it out in a job you had no choice in taking on, try doing it under that amount of constant scrutiny every time you set foot outside. Would you trade your freedom for all their money? Don't answer too quickly or flippantly.

Not only is HM Queen still going at 95, she is working every day, is astonishingly alert and animated, sparking, genuinely interested in both big and small talk, bright as a button and up to date. Just look at her getting out of her car, she can hear and see perfectly, it seems, or at least very well, she has a lot of her mother in her. She’s always good humoured and puts everyone at their ease and gets them chatting away by responding with great questions and comments. She’s also very beautifully dressed which is a compliment to her hosts and also her mark as a living icon.

Our Queen is entertaining the G7, then the Bidens, then Angela Murkle, then she is in Scotland, then she is at the Windsor Horse Show and now in Manchester and at the Coronation Street set and God knows what else. Her smiles, charm and energy never fail. She is absolutely amazing. She is in her mid 90’s and recently widowed. What a blissful joyful cheer for her Maj upon her arrival and at the end. And its good to hear what is being said. Love to hear the speeches and chat since it gives so much more vibes to the video. She is also genuinely interested in people she meets. I always love to see the Queen smiling - her face lights up like a Christmas tree. It is always amazing for me to see how strong she still is and how she still carries out her duties. So much commitment to a job has become rare in the world.

The Queen came to visit Coronation Street back in 1983 when she was much younger at 57. Now at 95 she has returned, three months after the death of Prince Philip. This woman has been pampered all her life and is not used to poverty and hardship.
